This historic bathroom has a mosaic tile from 1902 and the antique claw foot tub looks shiny and new. We cleaned the blinds, walls, trim, and made it look amazing!

The cabinets in the kitchen needed cleaned as well as everything straightened out, organized, and touched up. We mopped the floor, organized, treated the woodwork with furniture polish after a thorough cleaning to remove oil and grease that had built up around the handles. Windows and window sills were also cleaned and returned to a nice shiny clean kitchen.

"We hired Anderson Express Cleaners to do a deep clean on our parents home in preparation to sell it. They called ahead to get detailed information and had me send pictures so they would be prepared to do the best job possible. We had Cecelia come to the home for 3 days and she did an amazing job. She got areas clean that we didn’t think would be possible to clean. When she was finished, the house looked amazing and it also smelled so fresh and clean. You can use baking soda to start getting the urine odor out of your mattress. Baking soda is highly absorbent and soaks up odors, so it will not only draw the urine out of your mattress but it can also get to work fighting the lingering smell. You can also use an enzymatic cleaner to break down the urine to make it easier to clean. Just keep in mind that you need to remove enzymatic cleaners from the mattress after use, as leaving them on could be dangerous.

Distilled white vinegar or apple cider vinegar both work well to clean faucet heads; simply soak the end of the fixture in a 50/50 mix with tap water for 30 minutes. Baking soda and dish soap used in conjunction with vinegar can also help the cleaning process. A commercially available calcium, lime, and rust remover is a good solution for stubborn buildup or stains.

Bleach isn’t the best choice to use while cleaning a refrigerator. Food absorbs odors, and bleach is known for its lingering smell, which can then lead to your fresh foods tasting off. Most people don’t safely dilute bleach, either. If you’re concerned about bacteria or mold from contaminated food, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends using a bleach solution of 1 tablespoon of bleach to 1 gallon of water for sanitizing. Be sure to let the fridge air out for an hour or more afterward to let the fumes dissipate.

Anything that might have been exposed to fumigation chemicals should be washed before use. Wipe down and sanitize surfaces like countertops and tables, and wash all utensils (or take care to store them in an airtight box beforehand), as well as anything else that could find its way into someone’s mouth, like kid or pet toys. 

To maintain your mattress and keep it fresh, you should aim for a deep clean at least twice a year. However, if you have allergies, pets, or sweat heavily at night, you may want to clean it more frequently, such as every three to four months. In between deep cleanings, it's a good practice to vacuum the mattress surface regularly and spot-clean any stains as they occur. Using a mattress protector can significantly help by minimizing the buildup of allergens, dust mites, and bodily fluids, which can make your cleaning routine more effective. Remember to launder the protector regularly, as some dirt and sweat can still get through to the mattress.
