"Absolutely the best contractor I have ever hired. Will Hernandez went far above what I expected. His work was outstanding in every aspect. He was courteous, professional, responsive and punctual. He was very knowledgable and helpful in recommending paint, colors, and never tried to over sale his services. If I could give them A+ I would in every category. Highly recommended you give them a chance to win your business. Yes I would hire them again, without hesitation!"

"Marlon and Olivia are the best! He is super organized and she is incredibly creative and have great ideas to get the look without the cost. They were very flexible with my schedule and time frame for my project. I had a three week window from beginning to end to make my home livable and lovely for me and my 2 little ones, my kids can't wait to go to their rooms when they get home.
My budget and short time frame was overwhelming and stressful for me but Red Chair Interiors made it all happen without a single snag or delay.
I am very grateful to have Marlon and Olivia in my camp for future creative endeavors and will tell anyone that need design work and or remodeling services about this dynamic duo!"

"Mr Cruz was quick in responding to my initial inquiry. He was out the next day to take measurements with his crew. My door had to be special ordered. I was pleased with the price quote and installation price. They also gave mre a good price on rehanging my front door. They were out on Tuesday 12/28/10 at 8:30 am. They were all very profwssional and couterious, They have some problems with the opening as it was not square. They hung the door several times and then took it down as they were not happy with it. In conclusion, they stayed until the door was properly installed. It looks very good. I will consider them for further work."

"The night after they installed the flooring I was walking on the floor and felt air pockets. I called them and they explained they would go down after I had walked on them. They did not go away, so I called again and they came back and poked holes in the air pockets with a big syringe. The air pockets still did not go away. They came back out a third time and injected glue into the air pockets, but this just made the floor appear lumpy. I don't think they really knew what they were doing. The gentleman explained to me there was nothing else they could do."

Wallpapering questions, answered by experts

In most cases, it is not recommended to wallpaper over existing wallpaper, as the success depends on the type of paper already on the wall. While you might be able to cover non-coated wallpaper, you should never apply new wallpaper over a vinyl-coated one, which is more common. Doing so can lead to poor adhesion, resulting in bubbles, imperfections, and peeling. It can also trap moisture, potentially causing hazardous mold growth between the layers.

Even if the existing wallpaper is suitable, experts recommend applying only one new layer. Adding multiple layers (more than two total) can cause significant adhesion problems, leading to warping and bubbling. For the best results, the recommended approach is to remove the old wallpaper and all paste residue before hanging the new paper. If you are unsure about your wallpaper type, consider consulting a professional.

The average cost to install or hang wallpaper is around $575 per room or project, with typical prices ranging from $200 to $1,500. Costs can be higher for custom or luxury products. Since project size varies, it's often helpful to estimate labor costs per square foot, which generally fall between $1 and $7, with an average of $4 per square foot. The total cost depends on several factors, including the quality and type of wallpaper, the size and type of the room, and whether old wallpaper must be removed first. Opting for less expensive materials like peel-and-stick wallpaper or choosing to do the installation yourself can lower the overall cost. For the most accurate estimate, it is best to have a professional inspect the space and provide a quote.

To layer wallpaper over wallpaper, inspect your existing wallpaper for problem areas. Damaged wallpaper should not be covered. If it’s okay to proceed, prep by turning off the electricity and removing any outlet and switch covers. Dust your walls and lightly rinse them to prevent the existing paper from peeling. Apply primer, then apply your new wallpaper.

Because replacing pool tiles requires fully draining your pool, it’s a great opportunity to complete other projects. You may want to replace your pool’s vinyl liner or repair cracks. You might also replace your swimming pool heater or even take on the cost of resurfacing your pool. Resurfacing, although relatively costly, can help prolong the lifespan of your pool.

The color of the paint, its opacity, and the depth of the texture on the paper all affect how many coats of paint you need to apply to paintable wallpaper. You'll need at least two coats of paint to ensure even coverage. Don’t be surprised if you need to apply three coats if the embossing is very deep or if you use a dark color.
