"They came right on time and went right to work. They were polite and professional. Their cleaning was good to very good. They missed a few places here and there that rather surprised me as they were pretty obvious places to clean, eg. the TV and shelves around it, top of bookcase that is right at eye level, side of end table that had some big cobwebs on it. Other places they did a great job, eg., cleaning a vase of silk flowers so that they looked brand new and the bathroom counters fairly gleamed. Overall I was pleased and would use them again.

"I had a tree stump in my back patio.  I probably contacted 6 tree removal companies before Langley.  They were the only ones able to get to the stump because they have one of the most compact stump removal machines there is, so if your tree is in a tight space, these are your guys. They did a great job and removed my tree stump as well as lowered the dirt line by a few inches as requested.
The only minor issue was that they had to reschedule me 4 times before they finally came out to do the work, but when you think about how they work outside and if it rains they can't work, and then all of their appointments have to be moved, it's understandable.  And since they were the only ones with the right equipment, I can't complain.
I would definitely use them again.

Having a four-bedroom house full of personal treasures and trash, we judged best to get help in packing as well as moving.  Their estimator, Bryan, visited our house and professionally and courteously assessed our belongings, then sent his estimate within a couple of days.  We had a total of five estimates for the job.  Army Ant's price was about the same as two other companies' prices, the remaining two being rather higher.
Army Ant's crew of four men spent all of Monday packing our gear and loading into a truck for transport the next day.  They filled and loaded around 200 boxes, marking them according to the room of origin, and carefully padded and loaded all furniture.

The following day, a second truck was brought in to handle the overload, and the crew spent an hour completing the loading, then hit the road.  At our destination, they unloaded every box, every potted plant, and every item of furniture, placing in rooms according to the rooms they came from.
At the time of this writing, we have not yet finished unpacking all boxes (about halfway through), so a full report of condition of gear is not possible.  So far, only four small incidents of breakage have been noted: a statue of Jesus, a lamp, a light fixture, and a punchbowl cup.
The crew was a pleasant, painstaking, hard-working group of professional working men.  They hustled, but did not hurry.  They wasted no time; when they stopped to eat, it was only in ten-minute breaks.  And they promptly and courteously performed a number of small tasks as we requested them.
Army Ant's men rendered an ordeal that we had dreaded into a manageable, even a happy experience.  We are pleased at their work, and do not hesitate to recommend them wholeheartedly.

Garbage Collection questions, answered by experts

On average, a garbage disposal can last anywhere from 7 to 12 years, with many models functioning well for about 10 years. With heavy usage, a motor may last a minimum of five years, while grinding plates will wear down over time. It's generally a good idea to consider a replacement if your unit is approaching the 10-year mark. Other signs that it's time for a new disposal include frequent leaks, persistent clogs, lingering odors, lack of power, or unusual noises. If your unit is not that old, it's worth investigating if a less expensive part, like a rubber seal or a loose hose, is causing the issue.

You may be able to install a garbage disposal on your own, especially if you're handy or have some experience with plumbing. However, if you have any concerns or want to make absolutely sure that the connections are installed correctly, you may be better off hiring a local garbage disposal installer to do the job.

While the drain connection for a garbage disposal is nearly universal and fits standard sink drain holes of 3 1/2 to 4 inches, the size of the disposal unit itself is not. You must have enough space in the cabinet underneath your sink to accommodate the disposal's housing. A larger model may not fit in a compact cabinet or if the existing plumbing is arranged in an unusual way. Before buying a new garbage disposal, measure the available space under your sink. If you are replacing an old unit, it's often easiest to choose a new model of a similar size.

No, you do not need a garbage disposal to have a dishwasher. A dishwasher will work without one, and while it's rare to see a home with a dishwasher that doesn't have a disposal, it is possible. The two appliances pair well and are often installed together because a disposal simplifies meal cleanup.

However, your dishwasher should not be used as a replacement for a garbage disposal. Subjecting it to continuous food leftovers can lead to major clogs. If you choose not to install a garbage disposal, you should thoroughly rinse your plates or scrape excess food into the trash or a compost pile before loading them into the dishwasher to prevent plumbing issues.

These appliances do unscrew, but you need to disconnect everything properly when you replace your garbage disposal. Make sure you shut the power off to the area first and check that it’s off with a voltage detector. Disconnect the main drain line and P-trap, and then disconnect the dishwasher drain line if you have one connected. You can then unscrew your garbage disposal using a disposal wrench. Just make sure you disconnect the electrical lines before removing your appliance.
