"They were doing some work at my neighbors house. I asked if they did side walks and carports. The gentleman came over and gave me a quote. When they finished next door they come over and did all my cemented areas. I highly recommend them. He was going to include my wooden deck and small back porch. I told him my front porch/deck was OK but he could do the back one."

Small jobs welcome

"We had a 4ft by 3ft hole in our laundry room left by some plumbers and Luke came out to fix/paint it for us. We also had some messed up shingles that caused water damage on the ceiling of our living room which he also fixed both. We were highly satisfied with the quality of his work and how he worked with our schedules to come out."

"We received an immediate response following our online inquiry and our schedule was accommodated to meet our needs. The cost was better than the competitors without sacrificing quality. This is not a nationally owned franchise. This is East Texas owned and operated and the owner is personable and enjoys what he does for a living. He knows what he is talking about and we would recommend him to anyone."

Deck Maintenance questions, answered by experts

The best and fastest way to remove paint from a deck often involves combining a chemical stripper with a pressure washer. Gel-based paint strippers are highly recommended because their thick consistency makes them less messy and easier to apply than liquid strippers. After applying the stripper to loosen the paint, you can use a pressure washer to efficiently wash away the residue. When using a pressure washer for this task, it's important to use a low pressure (under 1000 PSI) to avoid forcing too much moisture into the wood, which could lead to mildew or rot.

With proper installation and maintenance, a vinyl deck can last up to 30 years. Factors like regular cleaning, minimal wear and tear, proper installation, and the use of higher-grade materials can extend its durability. However, extreme weather conditions or neglecting maintenance might shorten its lifespan. Adhering to manufacturer recommendations for care and occasional inspections can significantly prolong a vinyl deck's longevity.

Composite decking may never warp, or it may warp quickly. Several factors can influence the rate of warping, including the material's quality, installation method, and installation location. Generally speaking, high-quality materials that have been installed properly are drastically less prone to warping.

Rotting wood, loose railings, or unstable stairs may indicate a need for expertise.

It’s important to make sure the wood on a new deck is properly seasoned. Seasoning a deck is simple: Once you build it (or have a pro do so), just leave it alone so it can acclimate to the environment. If you don’t give the deck proper seasoning time before staining, the stain can lock in any lingering moisture and cause mold, rot, and other moisture issues down the road. Give the wood at least four to eight weeks to season before you stain.
