"A representative came to the house to measure for a solar screen. I had to call the company 10 days later to let them know that I do want the screen and to please move forward with the production. They said it would be another week to 10 days; good thing I wasn't in a hurry."

"Daniel and Russ of C&D Custom Building & Repair replaced a wooden fence post (snapped off at ground) by wind. Reset with new cement and reinstalled two original sections. No time wasted, went right to work. Gave good price and I liked his honesty over phone about price per repair, and he kept his word. I will use him again."

"Excellent service, very fast response to my request for service, picked up laptop, diagnosed issues. Initially thought it was an OS update issue but the hard drive had failed along with other components (including 'CPU). Because other components were involved, a new solid state hard drive was put into a laptop with a working processor - same type CPU as in the failed unit. The laptop was repaired and returned in less than a week. This company picked up and dropped off the laptop (driving from Huntsville, AL (about 60-70 minutes)-- great service in this covid environment. I would recommend this company to my family./friends and will use again."

"Contacted Allstar a week before installation to get an estimate. Spoke with Liz that morning. She promised to get me an estimate by 2 pm that afternoon. Chris and Liz came by house to measure and provided me an estimate as promised before 2 pm. Agreed for Allstar to do the work on Saturday and screens were made and installed by the following Wednesday. This husband/wife team were very professional, prompt, and courteous. Price was reasonable after doing some price comparison . The installer Brian also had excellent customer service skills. Will be calling them back to complete the back windows of my home. Highly recommend. Happy Customer in The Forest"

"You have to pay up front before any work has been done through his website or phone app. And you pay for a set amount of hours. If it takes longer, you pay again. You don't get reimbursed if it didn't take as long as you paid for. If he has to travel to get a different part, he is on the clock for that too, even if he bought the wrong part to begin with. Seemed like he was learning a few things as he started installing some things, like the closet doors - he bought the wrong roller mechanisms and didn't know how to install a peep hole eyeglass - in fact he lost a part of the magnifier and had to go back to the store to buy another one, as well as the closet roller mechanisms - all at my expense. I do not recommend this company."

"Southland screens did a great job for us enclosing our patio that included a beautiful door and the perfect puppy door. Zack and Taylor, owners, listened to our needs and did a perfect job. Our puppy door was a challenge as we have a 5 pound Yorkie to accommodate. They took the time to research doors and found the perfect one and spent 30 minutes to install a custom fit. It showed that they cared about us and our needs! If you need a screen enclosure of any kind be sure and contact them for a quote. Very reasonable with their pricing and what you get is beyond expectations- well done Zack and Taylor. We are looking forward to enjoying our patio, bug free!! Thank you Southland Screen Enclosures! Screen Repair questions, answered by experts

On average, it cost $2,900 to rescreen a patio, porch, or sunroom, with homeowners paying anywhere from $800 to $5,200. The cost to rescreen a porch, patio, or sunroom enclosure depends on the size of the enclosure, the extent of the damage, and the materials used to replace existing screens.

The screen on many screen doors is held in place by screen spline. Screen spline is typically a thin vinyl tubing that fits into the groove of the door’s frame and holds the screen in place. To install the spline on a screen door, you’ll need a spline roller—a tool that presses the spline and screen into the door’s narrow groove. Note that old spline can crack and break, so replacing your screens is a good time to replace the spline, too.

The average cost to screen-in your patio ranges from $2,000 to $4,000. How much you spend depends on the size of your patio, the materials used, and construction complexity. Some patio screen room kits are easy to DIY, but you may need to hire a local screened-in porch builder and obtain permits for more complex designs.

While the benefits of garage door screens usually outweigh the downsides, there are some cons to installing one. First off, they can be quite expensive, especially if you’re having a professional install a retracting screen or a custom size screen. Second, they let fresh air and natural light in, but they also don’t provide the same privacy from people in the neighborhood that a solid door does. As you might guess, screens also won’t insulate your garage, so they’re often not usable in colder weather.

Common problems include leaks, broken glass, and damaged frames. Regular maintenance prevents extensive damage.
