"Mize Lawn Service called us within a few hours of putting in a request on Home Advisor. Zachary was out the next day to give us an estimate, and was even able to come back that very same day to gather leaves from our front yard (which had a fall's worth of leaf build-up under a giant live oak tree). Not only did he offer impeccable quality of service, but his estimate was very affordable. Definitely recommend and will be using Mize Lawn Service in the future!!"

"Edwin and his team just finished a good sized project for us at our home. We got several bids and he came in well below the next closest bid. Great communication with Edwin, he got us our quote when agreed upon, showed up the following week right on time and went over our project again before leaving his team to work. In two days our old and new beds looked amazing. His guys cleaned up everything and they really did a very professional job. Really cheap rates on mowing jobs too. We will definitely have G's Landscaping back for more projects. Cannot recommend strongly enough. Amazing work at an amazing price."

"Did what they said they would do, when they said they would do it, for the price they quoted for the job. Less expensive than competitive bids. Very personable, very professional."

"Jose did an amazing job on my yard. After calling 5 different lawn care companies due to an emergency, Jose cane and mower for me. He was truly a blessing!"

Hiring a leaf removal company is a reliable way to get rid of a lot of leaves in your yard. Some companies offer a full range of yard cleaning services, while others may only haul away the leaves you gather and bag yourself. If you prefer the DIY route, you can try mulching leaves with your mower, using a leaf blower to collect them, using a leaf tarp to bag them, and more.
Leaf removal costs between $400 and $1,000 per acre on average. Nationally, the cost of leaf removal averages about $350. Cost factors for this project include lawn size, leaf removal method, tree density, location, and the time required to do the job. If your lawn removal service charges based on lawn size, you can expect to pay $0.02 to $0.10 per square foot.
Removing leaves from your lawn and yard has a few benefits. Leaves that cover your lawn over the winter can block sunlight from reaching your lawn, smothering and even killing the grass. Leftover leaves in your yard can create bare patches that you’ll need to reseed in the spring to return the grass to its former glory. Hiring a leaf removal company can save you time and labor, especially if your lawn is large or you have a high density of trees dropping leaves in your yard.
Whether you hire leaf removal done during the spring or fall or both, it’s often a good time to have the leaf removal company tackle other projects if they offer other lawn services. Other projects to bundle with leaf removal include:
Junk removal: $60–$600
Mowing: $50–$200
Weeding: $70–$150
Mulching: $75 per cubic yard
Hedge and tree pruning: $75–850
Lawn aeration: $0.10–$0.35 per square foot
Garden cleanup: $45–$75 per hour
You should hire a leaf removal company if you don’t have the time or tools to keep up with the leaves falling in your yard. Hiring leaf removal professionals will free up your time to take care of other household priorities, plus they will clear your lawn more quickly and efficiently than using DIY methods. Be sure to contact leaf removal companies at the end of summer to secure a scheduled visit in the fall, and shop around to get a few estimates and compare pricing.
