"Ruben is a true professional. He is punctual, honest and responsible. He has many years of experience in the plumbing business and takes pride in his work. He answered all of my questions and completed the job according to codes, on time as promised, even though there were a few unexpected issues during installation that required additional work and trips to the supply store. It was a very positive experience to do business with Ruben, his work ethics is remarkable! I will see him again for all of my plumbing needs, you can't go wrong with him."

"Very fast response. The tech was very professional and courteous. It was a pipe repair inside an interior wall. The wall opening was minimized and the pipe repaired. The communication with the office was also very good. Would recommend to anyone needing a plumber."

"I had my kitchen and small bathroom remodeled. In addition to removing all popcorn ceiling throughout the house, installing new floors and molding, extending bedroom closet, outdoor drain, and moving washer and dryer to garage and I couldn't be happier. From the initial consultation with Larry and Alex to the final clean up, they were professional and efficient. Alex, Raul and their crew completed all tasks within the discussed time line and stayed within my budget. All of their crew were courteous and respectful and answered all questions and concerns. I've had no problems with any of the work done. I'm very pleased with all of their work and have enjoyed my renovated kitchen. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend and hire them on any future home projects."

Drain Pipe Installation questions, answered by experts

Yes, sewage smells can originate from a floor drain. If the P-Trap in the floor drain dries out or if there's a clog or other issue in the plumbing system, sewer gasses can escape through the drain, causing nasty odors. Regularly pouring water into the drain helps maintain the water seal and prevent those smells, but if the smell persists, you should have a plumbing professional inspect the drain for potential problems.

On average, a plumber will take 30 minutes to two hours to clear a clogged drain. If the clog is located close to the drain or an access point and isn’t severe, the project will take about half an hour. If the clog is deep within your plumbing system or is a severe blockage, it can take two or more hours to remove the clog. For this reason, main line clogs tend to take longer, usually between two and three hours.

If your dishwasher keeps filling with water at the bottom but doesn’t fill into the sink, the issue is likely due to a blockage within the dishwasher or drain. Regularly clean your dishwasher filter basket to ensure it’s not clogged with food, and run a vinegar rinse periodically if you have hard water to remove limescale buildup.

Bleach—even diluted bleach—is not always the safest option for cleaning your drains. With a high pH, bleach can be highly corrosive to many types of pipes, especially when used regularly. When mixed with household cleaners and organic waste, it can also create dangerous chemicals. Remember to use proper protective equipment and ventilation when dealing with bleach.

The best way to unclog a bathtub drain is to pour a pot of boiled water down the drain, being careful not to splash yourself. However, take precautions, as boiling water can damage PVC pipes and joints. Follow up with ½ cup of baking soda and ½ cup of vinegar. Cover the drain with a small sink plunger and let it sit for 15 minutes. Pour boiling water down the drain again and replace the drain stopper.
