"I am pleased to report the fabulous interior/exterior paint job Johnson Painting provided us and only the highest praise for Dwayne Johnson and his team. "Sonny Wences came to my rescue! Putting house on market and started the painting myself and after 2 weeks wasn’t half done!! Definitely got in over my head! Than I remembered Angi! Requested bids for 4 local companies. Within 30 minutes, Sonny called; after discussing details, had estimate that afternoon! Agreed to price and Sonny was there the next morning!! He was done that afternoon!! And great work too!! Would definitely recommend Sonny Wences Painting! Now on to sell the house!!"

"I could not have asked for a better experience.  Victor and his crew were all very professional and approachable.  They were all very particular about their work and any one of them could answer questions in an intelligent and concise manner. Victor provided a color palette and we chose 3 colors for various parts of our home.  The crew did a fantastic job and they were careful to clean up after themselves.  The quality of the repairs and the paint are great.  Beyond this, none of the crew smoked (at least not while working on my house).  They will be the first company I call for future work

"When the dishwasher in the the mobile home I purchased failed to work, I contacted Service Magic to get a few estimates on installing a new dishwasher. Pete from PJM Enterprises called me. He asked about the old dishwasher and then told me how to get it started. Following his simple instructions, I got the dishwasher running. Pete saved me several hundred dollars. He was great."

Wallpapering questions, answered by experts

In most cases, it is not recommended to wallpaper over existing wallpaper, as the success depends on the type of paper already on the wall. While you might be able to cover non-coated wallpaper, you should never apply new wallpaper over a vinyl-coated one, which is more common. Doing so can lead to poor adhesion, resulting in bubbles, imperfections, and peeling. It can also trap moisture, potentially causing hazardous mold growth between the layers.

Even if the existing wallpaper is suitable, experts recommend applying only one new layer. Adding multiple layers (more than two total) can cause significant adhesion problems, leading to warping and bubbling. For the best results, the recommended approach is to remove the old wallpaper and all paste residue before hanging the new paper. If you are unsure about your wallpaper type, consider consulting a professional.

Hiring a professional wallpaper hanger is usually a worthwhile idea because, while the application of wallpaper itself is easy, getting the finished product to look good is complicated and takes a lot of practice and patience. A professional wallpaper hanger will not only be able to hang your wallpaper seamlessly, but they will also get an even application of wallpaper paste to avoid bubbling and imperfections immediately and over time. Plus, they can provide their professional opinion on whether to remove or wallpaper over an existing layer of wallpaper.

Peel-and-stick wallpaper is designed to be removed without damaging walls, making it a good choice for renters or temporary design changes. However, damage to paint or drywall can occur under certain conditions. To prevent issues, the wall surface must be properly prepared before application—it should be clean, smooth, dry, and correctly primed or painted. Applying wallpaper to a freshly painted surface can cause the paint to peel off during removal. Additionally, removing the wallpaper too quickly or aggressively can also cause damage. For best results, always follow the manufacturer's instructions for both application and removal.

Because replacing pool tiles requires fully draining your pool, it’s a great opportunity to complete other projects. You may want to replace your pool’s vinyl liner or repair cracks. You might also replace your swimming pool heater or even take on the cost of resurfacing your pool. Resurfacing, although relatively costly, can help prolong the lifespan of your pool.

Textured or patterned vinyl wallpaper designs are the best option for hiding imperfections. Embossed designs or faux finishes like brick, wood, or linen textures are especially effective at camouflaging dents, cracks, or uneven surfaces. Avoid smooth, shiny finishes, as they can highlight flaws rather than conceal them.
