"APlusCabinetry installed our IKEA kitchen and we could not have been more pleased; our kitchen is beautiful. Andrei Vologzhanin worked patiently with me to adjust cabinets and the microwave placement to ensure that I could reach shelves and the microwave safety. i am under 5 feet tall and this was an important design element; finding a height that would work for me but would still be practical for anyone else using the kitchen. Andrei and Dimitri showed up when they said they would be here and left the work area clean when they left each day. Because of the backsplash height we needed Andrei to come back and remove the bottom trim of the upper cabinets, then come back after the backsplash install to adjust and replace the trim. He was very accommodating with his time. My husband and I would not hesitate to use APlus again and strongly recommend this company."

"We were promised what a great job they would do and how they have improved their quality of their work over the past years and are one of the best in SA for cabinet painting but come to find out they did a sub-par job. My cabinets look good from far but up-close the work is not quality. When completed I had cabinet door with multiple paint bubbles on it, I had another that had a large area that was scratched at the bottom. When I brought it to their attention they agreed to repaint them but was told me they would not match the others that were just painted which did not make any sense. When they first painted my cabinets they said that they would need to take them down, sand, prime and spray them doing this whole long process, then when the two needed to be fixed they painted them in my drive way and left them at my house to dry so they were not done well and look terrible even after repainting and they dont match they look glossy and the rest of my cabinets look matte. Save your money and trouble and find yourself a quality paint company. They also painted the inside of my house and my husband and I had to go back after they left and touch up multiple places even after they did touch ups. They didn't even remove the light switch and plug covers and tried painting around them, my husband had to remove them for the painter to paint under them. I definitely did not get a professional paint job on the interior of my house. Lastly It's been about a month since they finished and I'm already noticing that the cabinet paint chips and scratches very easily."

MGI Granite in Business since 2006 in Bulverde, Tx but in the stone industry 25 Years of experience. our goal is to completely satisfy all your needs in the Granite, Marble, Wood Floor installation areas, we work with you and for you to get always the best deal for both Customer and Company, delivering the best product and the best quality workmanship to make your dreams come true in a time and easy way so you can enjoy the process and the final products.

"Avoid... They don’t stand behind their work. Won’t fix their mistakes. First off, they did not tape anything off or cover my carpets. Dust got everywhere. I have to pay someone now to hopefully restore my carpets and will have to steam clean my tile. They put wood shins that rest on top of the cabinets directly under the granite. Because of the length of my counters they had to put 2 seams, which turned out horribly. Good seams should be not that noticeable. Obviously, they have to be there but they are not correct or professional by any means the way that MGI did them. The seams have jagged edges like they were not cut properly and the head installer in the end said he “liked” the seams, which reflects the quality (or lack of) of their work. They didn’t attach or mount my dishwasher to the underside of the granite so now it moves when I open and close it. After they left initially, my oven (my oven will now turn on but will not heat) and dishwasher wouldn’t turn on. And the dishwasher leaked from the supply line. We had to use stern language with Ali to make him come back to fix the stuff that stopped working after his install. They messed with the seams when they came back but they are still not correct. They didn’t wipe up all the epoxy so now the edge is rough at both seams. Everyone I’ve showed this to and spoken to said that this needs to be redone (rip out and replace the counters where the seams are) or the seams need blended and polished until they look right at the cost of MGI. We paid him in full since they worked all day to finish the job and now they won’t do us the same courtesy of fixing their mistakes. Sloppy, substandard and unprofessional. Don’t let their pictures fool you (they are not close up shots). I could mention other issues with the install as well..... Use these guys if you want a granite contractor who won’t work to satisfy you after you PAY them!"

Cabinet Making questions, answered by experts

A medicine cabinet on its own won’t add a lot of value, but is in general considered to be a good feature to have. Since any added storage is desirable, a medicine cabinet can improve resale value some. Making your bathroom more functional is appealing to buyers if you’re looking to sell your home.

Sealing a cabinet after staining is optional but recommended for best results. Wood sealer keeps out moisture, which protects against scratches, warping, chipping, discoloration, and mildew. Sealer not only preserves the appearance of wood furniture but, like staining, enhances it by accentuating the wood’s natural color and grain.

Common options include solid wood, plywood, and MDF. Choose based on durability and budget.

The weight capacity depends on the construction method and the quality of the hardware.  Basic side-mount slides often support 50 pounds, but less expensive versions may be rated lower. Properly built drawers with dado joints and heavy-duty, full-extension slides can typically support between 75 and 100 lbs. Be sure to check the manufacturer’s weight rating for your specific drawer slides.

The primary reinforcement of pantry shelves comes from the 1-by-2 strips attached to the wall under the back of your shelves. You can add additional reinforcement with wooden corbels—a type of bracket—and U- and L-shaped metal brackets to link the shelving together in each junction.
