"Got going with ADT system earlier this Fall. It has been good. Still getting used to a much fancier and dynamic system. But it was time for an upgrade and we would suggest ADT to anyone looking to secure their home or their business."

"I recently hired Chad from Redhead Electric to install a new ceiling fan, and he absolutely exceeded every expectation. Not only did he complete the installation flawlessly and on time, but he also proactively identified and corrected a significant issue left behind by the home builder ? one I had no idea even existed. He fixed it at no extra charge, demonstrating incredible integrity and expertise that went well above and beyond. His attention to detail, clear communication, and professional demeanor made the entire experience seamless and stress-free. I never once felt overcharged or taken advantage of ? just honest, high-quality service from a skilled electrician who truly cares about doing the job right. If you?re looking for a reliable, trustworthy, and customer-focused electrician in the Lubbock area, look no further than Chad at Red Head Electrical. He?s the real deal!!!!"

"It went great!  From Travis the sales person to Noah the installer I couldn't have asked for a more professional and through team to deliver my home security needs.  We just bought a new house in a neighborhood that's up and coming but there's still an element that we want to protect our home and valuable from.  Security One helped us find a system that we could monitor while we're away and that would make my girlfriend feel safe when I'm not a home.  We highly recommend them especially Travis and Noah.  Ask for them by name!

"We like their service. We haven't had any problems. They are very good. This was the first time we've had an alarm/security system in our home. The supplier is ADT. I like that I can set my alarm every night before I go to bed."

"They system was installed for the basic, but anything that you wanted needed to be higher upgraded require alot of extra money for every upgrade.
The 36.99 monthly fee was for only if your system is connected to a landline. I didnnt notice that they charge me $44.99 until my 1st month fee. Thats when I was told that they charge $44.99 because the alram was connected to my cable line instead. I was unaware of the different charges. When tec came out he didnt show up to fix the corrected. Had to call the main company for the no show. So they schedule another appointment and offered 2 window alarms to fix the correction but my bill still is $44.99. Default is that since I didnt have extra money to upgrade to the Pulse, you dont know if you turn the alarm to your house properly. I called the 800 number and they cant tell either!

Home Security Systems questions, answered by experts

Ultimately, the decision should align with your objectives. For general home security, visible cameras at entry points and high-traffic areas are recommended to deter intruders. In areas where privacy is a concern, use hidden cameras sparingly and within legal limits.

DIY is possible for wireless cameras, but professionals ensure optimal angles, security integration, and network stability.

Faulty sensors, weak signals, false alarms, and control panel malfunctions are common problems requiring repair.

Strike plates and security plates are the same thing, but there are strike plates that offer more security than others. For the highest security, look for plates made of heavy-duty steel, reinforced strike plates thicker than regular ones, and extended strike plates. It’s much harder to break into a door with these strike plates because they hold up better to force from attempted entry.

The main difference between different security sensor options is the type of motion each detects. A motion detector monitors obvious movements in hallways, entrances, and exits. On the other hand, a presence detector is more sensitive and captures smaller moves. A window sensor typically focuses on the opening and closing of the window, whereas a glass break sensor alarms you when a glass is broken.
