"We couldn't be more pleased with the added insulation in the attic above the garage. Only downside is that it's better done than the rest of the attic! The rest of the work replacing the insulation in water-damaged areas went very quickly. We will likely be bringing them back to do the rest of the attic."

"Bottom line: I would hire this company again. Koala Insulation came and inspected my attic spaces with a infrared scanning tool. They looked at the level of insulation and found areas where the heat was penetrating more. They recommended specific actions and gave me a number of quoted options on the spot. I was then able to book the service within days of the initial visit. The technicians came and performed the service professionally and made sure to involve me where needed. I would hire them again."

Insulating a stone house is an expensive and involved process because it requires building a double-walled house. These two types of foams are similar chemically, but they are applied in a much different way and each has its own pros and cons. However, removal is recommended if the old insulation is compromised by water damage or pests. You should also remove it if you plan to install a different type of insulation, like switching from roll or batt insulation to spray foam. If the existing insulation is very old or damaged, you will likely get more benefit from removing it and starting fresh.

Insulation can be easy to install, depending on the condition of your walls, but there are many safety considerations and potential challenges involved. For example, most types of insulation are made from materials that can cause irritation if inhaled or if they come into contact with your skin. Additionally, installing insulation incorrectly can actually make moisture issues in your home worse.
