"Uriel and his crew are a dream come through. I have been burned my many contactors in the past but Uriel is absolutely the best I have ever dealt with. He communicated daily, started work and finished quicker than I could have imagined. He texted me every morning when the crew was showing up. Sent me pictures on the progress and was quick to point items out during the process. They did an outstanding job and cleaned up everything when they completed. I bought a mid century home and we have a laundry list of future work. I will keep Uriel on speed dial. He is simply amazing. Thank you Uriel!!"

Garages questions, answered by experts

To properly maintain an epoxy garage floor, regularly sweep up dirt and debris using a broom and dustpan or a vacuum cleaner. Mop with warm water and scrub away stains using a mild cleaning solution that's safe for the epoxy product you have installed. Don't use any soap-based or chemical cleaners, as these can cause the epoxy surface to deteriorate more rapidly.

A garage ceiling needs a vapor barrier if it’s a heated garage or if you’re installing insulation in the ceiling. Without a vapor barrier, you risk moisture issues and mold growth. If you have an unheated garage and don’t plan on installing insulation that could get wet and harbor mold, the ceiling doesn't need a vapor barrier.

You can prevent your garage from freezing by applying techniques like sprinkling salt onto the garage floor, installing a garage heater, shoveling snow outside the door, and more. Additional methods of preventing your garage from freezing over is to seal all potential air gaps, replace weatherstripping, and adding insulation to the surrounding walls to keep the heat from escaping.

Garage door insulation can last anywhere from 20 to 100 years depending on the type of insulation. Cellulose has the shortest lifespan coming in at between 20 and 30 years, while spray foam, mineral wool, and fiberglass can last between 80 and 100 years with proper maintenance.

Humidity plays a role in how long more susceptible insulation materials—like fiberglass—last. Once fiberglass batts reach the 15-year mark, you'll need to routinely inspect your insulation to ensure that it is in mint order.

Just like any other part of your home, hurricane garage doors need regular maintenance to stay in top shape. This ensures they function optimally during storms and provide the protection you need.

You can do some basic maintenance yourself, like cleaning the tracks and lubricating the moving parts. It's as simple as using a mild detergent and water to clean the tracks and applying a silicone-based lubricant to the hardware. However, for more in-depth maintenance and inspections, it's a good idea to call in the professionals to identify any potential problems and fix them before they become more significant issues.
