"The job went very well.  They took their time, came in and checked to see if things were indeed level at different times.  I was very pleased with their work.  The rains this year had done a number under my house.  Mr. Wise and his crew added a beam where there had never been one, and it was definitely needed.  My house had an obvious dip in it that is now gone.  And put another beam where the crew I'd used years ago had used untreated wood as a temporary fix until they could get out of the yard.  I'd been given an estimate by another company that was almost three times what Mr. Wise bid for the job.  And it did not include the beam under the front of the house.  Mr. Wise and his crew have a great reputation and they've earned it.  I will definitely use them again.

"Willie and his team did fantastic work. After contacting numerous other "foundation experts", Willie provided the best plan and backed it up with his overall knowledge and certification/training in basement/foundation repair. He and his team do great work and take no short-cuts when it comes to the overall quality of the work. He also was very flexible when other requests were made and he gladly accommodated. He has a passion for his business, customers and takes great pride in his work. The basement and porch are now fixed and look great. Best of all is that we have confidence the work performed will last."

Concrete Mudjacking questions, answered by experts

It restores concrete, prevents replacement cost disruptions, reduces trip hazards, and provides stability at a lower cost.

Mudjacking is your best bet for leveling concrete on a tighter budget. It’s less expensive than foam or grout mixture. For smaller, surface-level issues, you could also use a self-leveling compound, which creates an even surface over existing concrete—it’s a budget-friendly option suitable for DIY enthusiasts.

Address drainage issues, avoid heavy loads, and seal cracks to prevent future settling.

Yes, you can mudjack cracked concrete, but the cracks will need to be repaired once the concrete has been leveled. If the concrete is severely cracked in multiple places, replacement may be a better option, but for less severe cracking, mudjacking is a good solution as long as cracks are correctly caulked and sealed.

Mudjacking is usually reserved for light-duty slabs, like patios, driveways, and sidewalks. However, it can be an effective way to lift garage slabs and concrete around the perimeter of the home, which could harm your foundation if it’s not done properly. The risk of damage is why having a professional mudjacking company carry out the work is important. This type of slab or foundation repair is relatively inexpensive, especially if you consider that a DIY job requires that you pay to rent the necessary equipment.
