"It went really well, better than expected. Mr. King was great to work with as he provided me several options for water proofing (for the future) and he installed a sump pump which is what I needed as the first step. He was on time, cleaned up after the job was done (and during) and wanted to make sure we were very happy with his work. I waited to do a review because I wanted to see how the sump pump worked after rain. We have had a couple of good rain events since it was installed and we heard it working and doing its job. The unit is a little loud, but knowing it is working and moving the water out of the crawlspace is all that matters to me."

I’m trying to start my business in the concrete construction field. I’ve worked doing concrete for the past 7yrs for general contracting company out of Dallas Tx. I’m trying to land small opportunities to showcase my work and hopefully expand and make it into a real business serving the East Texas. We’ve done plenty of jobs out in North Texas anything from slabs, driveways, sidewalks, retaining walls, piers, foundations and even cast in place concrete walls for big commercial business. At my side I have one of the top contractors with 35+ years of experience in the industry making big commercial grade jobs in Texas well known for his great work by several general contractors for the jobs he’s put out.

"I highly recommend Ben and his crew for any home renovation or improvement project. They went above and beyond to deliver an outstanding final product for us. We had two rental properties that needed extensive work, including exterior and interior painting, restoring hardwood floors, installing new tile floors in the kitchen and bathrooms, and complete bathroom remodels. Throughout the entire process, Ben maintained excellent communication, especially regarding costs, and always ensured that we approved everything before moving forward. There were no hidden costs, and his pricing was more than fair. Ben's crew are highly skilled tradesmen who were able to adapt and problem-solve with our older homes. The final results on both properties were absolutely beautiful. We were so impressed that we hired them again a few weeks later to stain the exterior of our cedar office building, and that turned out fantastic as well. Ben and his team can truly do it all. They won’t disappoint!"

Concrete Mudjacking questions, answered by experts

Most states and municipalities don’t require concrete mudjacking companies to carry a specific license, but they usually need to have a general contractor’s license, and they should be fully insured. The only exception is if the mudjacking company provides foundation repairs as well, or if it offers mudjacking for home foundations. In that case, they will typically need a foundation repair contractor’s license. You can check state requirements and then use Angi’s license lookup tool to confirm that a company is properly licensed to provide mudjacking services in your area.

The polyurethane used for polyjacking will expand and cure in 15 to 30 minutes. After that point, your slab will be safe to walk on and even drive on in the case of a sidewalk or concrete driveway. Double-check with your concrete lifting specialist to confirm a curing timeline, as products can differ.

There is no real alternative to underpinning, although mudjacking and polyjacking are other repair methods that can add support from underneath your foundation. Rather than placing supportive piers under your structure, these involve pumping a material under your slab to lift a sunken section back into its original position. Polyjacking, in particular, is sometimes a suitable solution for stabilization issues under slab foundations, but underpinning is often accepted as the best and most permanent solution.

Mudjacking can be an expensive foundation repair process, but in many cases, it’s well worth the investment. This is especially true if you’re lifting a portion of sunken foundation slab back into place. In that case, mudjacking can help avoid major structural damage and even home collapse by restoring the integrity of your structure with minimally invasive procedures. Mudjacking a concrete patio, walkway, or sidewalk can be worthwhile because it removes tripping hazards and makes your outdoor area more aesthetically appealing.

On average, a mudjacking repair lasts between five and 10 years, though it can sometimes last for well beyond a decade under ideal conditions. Its longevity depends heavily on several factors, including the condition of the underlying soil, environmental conditions like freeze/thaw cycles and erosion, and whether the root cause of the sinking, such as drainage issues, is resolved. Because it doesn't always fix the underlying problem of loose soil, mudjacking is often considered a temporary solution. Proper maintenance and evaluation can help extend its lifespan.
