"I was very impressed with the service. I am a photography student so I work with a lot of heavy weight programs and very large files. I also do a ton of research along with my school work. After one year of using my brand new laptop for school, I had NO space left on my computer, it was crashing constantly, files were corrupting, and of course, everything was taking forever to load. I called HelloTech for help. They were very understanding of my need for a very complete and fast repair. They were very prompt, diagnosed the issues with my computer, then gave me options on how it could be repaired and modified to accommodate my needs, along with price quotes for each option. Very professional, we worked out a plan that fixed every issue that I had. I am more than happy with my "new" laptop and I would most definitely hire them again!"

"Our redesign included a wall removal, a window added, and a reconfigured layout. J&L handled all of this from start to finish. The finished kitchen is just what I envisioned. The cabinets are beautiful and functional. Jeff and Lisa are great to work with."

"Our first meeting with Jarrett went well. My husband and I felt like he had a feel for what we wanted and could work within our budget. We had picked our fixtures and granite; we needed to finalize tile, paint and light fixtures. When we went to pick out our tile we realized it would clash with our granite selection. Jarrett said "if I install that granite, you will be unhappy with me". Looking back, I suppose it was his tactful way of saying it was ugly. We took his recommendation and chose a granite he recommended that went with our tile selection well. I used a decorator to pick lights and paint. Not because Jarrett does not have the ability to do this, I needed someone to help visualize the project and tie it together. Jarrett worked well with my decorator (some general contractors do not like working with decorators). The three of us came up with ideas that ended up great. We had bumps in the road as is to be expected in a project like this. Jarrett demanded nothing less than perfection where quality and aesthetics were concerned. HE DROVE THROUGH TORNADIC WEATHER TO PICK UP OUR CABINETS!!!!; If I was unhappy with something, he made sure to make it so that I was. My kids still ask me when Mr. Jarrett is coming back. He develops personal relationships and takes each job personally. He helped me work on a few things around the house unrelated to the project and would not accept a tip. This was our first renovation project and we almost tried to skip the GC and do it ourselves. Thank God we didn't! The project went over budget and over time. I accept partial responsibility for both. The only issues I have were the amount we exceeded our budget and the time frame. I will use Jarrett again and will recommend him highly. His slogan "Your Dream. Our Passion" is true. He is very passionate about his clients being excited (not just content) about the end-result.
We have experienced 2 warranty issues with the faucets and he has been quick to respond on both."

"I sent the money and dimensions in in November 2011.  She responded back very quickly, informed me that she was very busy and wouldn't be able to start on my project for a couple of weeks.  I actually responded that that was fine.  After a month or so with no contact, i emailed.  She emailed  right back, apologized and asked for some more measurements.  I sent them.  Didn't hear anything, when in response to inquiry, she asked again for living room measurements-- that was Feb. 3rd.  On Feb. 20th, I emailed and asked for timeline.  She responded back the next day with 3 designs asking for my preference.  I emailed back on the 22nd of Feb with my preference.  On March 16th, I inquired again as to timeline for completion. Two weeks later she sent a concept board with some furnishings.  No window coverings or lights were suggested.  Three were multiple rugs with no direction of which one for each room.  All and all, not a pleasant experience.  I suspect I could have gotten better service using Pottery Barn's free design service (especially since most of the furnishings came from there.)"

Lighting questions, answered by experts

High-quality landscape lights that are hardwired and properly maintained can last for 10 to 25 years or more. You’ll usually get a longer lifespan from soffit lights and wall-mounted lights that aren’t directly exposed to the elements or prone to damage from foot traffic or vehicle traffic. Solar-powered and battery-powered lights often won’t last as long, but you can still expect a lifespan of five to 15 years.

Your maintenance needs revolve around the type of foundation you choose, as well as how you furnish or decorate it. Patios require little else other than the occasional hose-down, but decks and other wooden structures will require annual power washing and sealing. You may also need to restain the wood every two to three years.

Adding a solid roof rather than building a pergola or leaving the space open will make maintenance much easier. Without a roof, you will need to spend more time sweeping, washing, and covering your furniture to protect it from UV bleaching.

Between seasons, inspect cords for damage, replace burnt-out bulbs, and clean lighting fixtures to prevent dirt buildup. Proper storage in cool, dry conditions will extend the lights' lifespan and minimize repairs or replacements when redeployed.

If you need to visually inspect your Christmas lights to determine which are good and which need replacement, there are a few things to look for. First, look for discoloration, such as a dark spot or two on the inside of the glass. The spot is an indication of a burnt filament. Also, look for missing filaments, cracked bulb glass, and broken sockets.

If you’ve gone through the troubleshooting checklist for your motion detector flood light and it’s still not working, it’s time to consider a new one. Older models that need frequent fixes can be unreliable. Newer flood lights feature advanced technology that improves your lights’ sensitivity and overall performance. If you’re fed up with unexpected darkness, investing in a new light can give you the lighting you need to feel secure.
