"I contracted this company to move a single piece of furniture. On the agreed upon date, after numerous attempts to reach my contact (Dewayne), someone named Destiny called to tell me that the truck had been in an accident and we rescheduled for the same time the next day. On the following date, after waiting for over an hour past our agreed time, and attempting, again, to contact the company numerous times, we left. Nearly two hours later, we were advised that they had shown up to collect the piece to be moved. I was given an estimate for 3 movers @ $50/hour with a minimum of 2 hours and an estimated time of 1.75 hours. Simple math indicates that this is $300. In reality, only two movers were present. However, I was charged $370.62 for this move and after - again - numerous attempts to contact Dewayne, I was forced to dispute the overcharge with my credit card provider. I have rarely dealt with such a lack of professionalism and urge you to NOT hire this company for any reason."

The main issue with garbage disposals is clogging. This can mean a clogging of the pipes that expel the food along with water, or a clogging of the mechanical parts themselves. The problem lies in the solution because you can’t easily see clogs if they’re inside the system, and reaching in to dislodge stuck items is a risky proposal. Once you have your garbage disposal disconnected, you can remove the mounting bracket by unscrewing the bolts that are holding the bracket. You can back them out just enough to pop off the snap ring, which prevents the bottom portion of the bracket from disconnecting from the top when you unscrew the bolts. Use a regular screwdriver to pop off the snap ring, and the rest of the components should fall off by themselves.

Your garbage disposal will only affect the health of your septic tank if you’re using it too frequently, or filling it with organic waste that doesn’t fully break down. If the tank fills up with too many solids, the bacteria won’t have enough time to consume it before more is added, which can lead to an overflow in the drain field. Your tank will need to be pumped more frequently with excessive or improper garbage disposal use.

These appliances do unscrew, but you need to disconnect everything properly when you replace your garbage disposal. Make sure you shut the power off to the area first and check that it’s off with a voltage detector. Disconnect the main drain line and P-trap, and then disconnect the dishwasher drain line if you have one connected. You can then unscrew your garbage disposal using a disposal wrench. Just make sure you disconnect the electrical lines before removing your appliance.
