"This company is a total scam, unprofessional. Initial contact Alfonso comes off as an expert but then communication is lackadaisical, the work was hasty and they drove off not completing the job. Would not provide proper receipt documentation. Would not recommend."

Flowerbeds Tree removal, Trimming and transplanting Spring and fall Cleanups Fence and Deck staining Sod installation Sprinkler repair Mulch Hedge trimming and removal Gutter cleaning

"It started off great, Wyatt was responsive and seemed to really care. Then we went out of town while he was supposed to finish and the pictures are what he left us with. The cement patio is hard to walk on the ground in the backyard was never leveled or mowed. Nothing was done with the front yard except bags of mulch left behind. When he tried to call when we got bad we were ghosted. We sent texts, left voicemails & sent Facebook messages asking to fix/finish or give us some of our money back. All were left unanswered."

"I called J Bell Services out to find and fix sprinkler issues resulting from the recent freeze. They did a brief assessment of the system and reported several heads needed to be replaced. The estimate was between $150 and $200,; but the actual costs would be based on actual labor time and parts. The final bill came to $329.90; $190 for 2 hours labor; plus an additional $130 in parts. My issue is that the parts they charged me $130 for have a total retail cost of $14.61 at Lowes. This means they marked the costs of the parts up almost 900%. When I later challenged this, (as the normal contractor markup on parts is between 50% tp 100%). I was told that this was absolutely nonnegotiable. Having owned my home for over 20 years, I know what to expect for normal parts markups and this is completely unacceptable. I feel this is a total ripoff and will not use this company again or recommend them top anyone."

Rototilling questions, answered by experts

Yard grading is a key component of proper drainage because runoff naturally moves with respect to gravity. If you have low spots in your yard, rain and snowmelt will settle there and oversaturate the soil, promoting root rot and fungal growth. If the low spots are near your home’s foundation, you could even end up with foundation leaks or structural damage due to poor yard grading.

People level their yards for practical and cosmetic purposes. If you have a very steep slope in your backyard, you might have a hard time with lawn maintenance. Or, if you want to entertain in the summer but don’t have a flat yard, building a patio would be quite difficult.

It depends on the model of your pool. You’ll always have to level the topsoil, but most vinyl-lined pools require an additional 1- to 2-inch layer of sand to protect the liner. This way, when a foot kicks down to the bottom of your pool, it’s not scraping the liner against the hard ground. If your pool isn’t vinyl-lined, you can skip this step or add a layer of another base material, like decomposed granite. Always check your manufacturer’s instructions before you begin.

Yes, hardscaping features bring value to your landscape, and they can even increase the value of your home. Hardscaping works best alongside professional landscaping. According to a survey by the National Association of Realtors and the National Association of Landscape Professionals, researchers found that hardscape upgrades, landscape upgrades, landscape management, and lawn care services are the top four outdoor projects that add value to a property for resale.

Hardscaping often requires preparation of the ground in the area where the feature is being installed. This can include digging, compacting, and leveling the soil, ensuring adequate drainage, and removing any existing plants. The extent of preparation needed will depend on the type and size of the hardscaping feature being installed.
