Scott ExteriorsLesson learned the hard way: It's almost been a year since the big storm that hit parts of the Dallas area on 6/9/19. Straight line winds hit up to 85 mph in some areas. One area hit hard was our neighborhood in Lake Highlands. As clean up began the next day, it was evident that every house on our street was going to need a new roof. The door knockers offering discounts for new roofs were out in full force. One got my neighbor and I was invited over to the conversation. The next thing you know, paperwork was signed and a new roof was completed. Fast forward almost one year later: After the rainy season this spring began, I started noticing leaks appearing on the inside of our home. Instead of going back to the 'door knocker', I called up Scott Exteriors. A local Lake Highlands roofing company. The owner, Kirk Scott showed up the next day. After examining the work that had been done, it has been determined NONE of the flashing around all of our exhaust fans on the roof had been flashed correctly. Furthermore, the gutters were not hung correctly which has already caused water damage in the form of wood rot. The next day Scott Exteriors solved all of our problems with the roof. I can not recommend Scott Exterior's enough for all of your roofing needs. Get it done right the first time, and you will save thousands down the road.
