"If you are looking for a company to build a deck for you, there really is no other choice than this one! I had never interacted with Miller Decking prior to hiring him to extend, cover and create our new deck for us. Itâ s roughly 1000 sqft. From day one, his attention to detail and his drive to build me the best quality deck possible never diminished. His ability to take our ideas and turn them into reality is second to none. My wife and I had a few â changesâ we thought of mid project and Colton acted as though it was no big deal. He didnâ t miss a beat and never once told me â I donâ t think that will workâ or â I canâ t do thatâ . He makes things happen. I truly believe that he enjoys what he does and it shows in the craftsmanship of his completed projects. Iâ ve had my deck for many months now, and I have so many compliments on how appealing it makes my house. The space is now much more usable and more importantly, safer for my toddler. If you are looking for a company to complete a project for you and you want it done fast and cheapâ ¦donâ t hire Miller Decking. If you want your project to be completed with attention to detail, be built with quality craftsmanship, and by someone that cares about your level of happiness with the finished project, hire Miller Decking. You wonâ t regret it."

"UGLY DUCKLING INTO A BEAUTIFUL SWAN If I could give TEN stars i would. Highly experienced in what Kirk Morgan and his crew does. Meticulously detailed expertise on details even offering ways to be better than I expected to be. Patiently explaining many options with pro and con. Worked Monday through Friday all day long. Consistently showed up. Corrected what the previous two contractors had messed up to bring to high quality look and structural integrity. I have recommended to people needing work done or house built and will continue to recommend to anyone I can. Wellllllll worth the money I spent. High quality workmanship and straightforward on what needs to be done Lemme change something. FIFTEEN STARS!!!!!"

"Josh was extremely professional and kind. He was not only on time but a little early which he texted ahead of time to advise of. He engaged in conversation and was personal yet that never interrupted his working. His diligence on staying on task and completing everything I had for him that day was indeed accomplished ( and it was a list). He put together 2 very large bookcases, hung a bathroom cabinet, and built and assembled an outside storage unit for me. He did a great job; and clean up after himself. That part is rare! I am very satisfied and even grateful to have found a craftsmen such as him. I highly recommend him. I know I will continue to use Josh."

"I was very impressed with Sentri Homes - their customer service was excellent. They sent a subcontractor to install some vinyl laminate in my bathroom and he ended up getting glue all over the carpet in our bedroom. The sub ended up ghosting both me and Sentri, leaving me stuck with a ruined carpet. Sentri stuck with me for over a month to get the carpet replaced with the identical original and to get the vinyl job 100% completed. The carpet was a Home Depot exclusive and Sentri handled everything with them. I will be using Sentri for a much bigger renovation I have coming up soon, because I know that they will make sure everything gets done right no matter what problems come up. The vinyl looks great too."

Woodworking questions, answered by experts

Yes, Corian® and other solid surface materials can be cut with standard woodworking tools, such as a circular saw or a jigsaw. However, it is crucial to use the correct type of blade to avoid damaging the material.

For a circular saw, a tungsten carbide-tipped blade is required; a triple chip grind blade is highly recommended. For a jigsaw, you should use a fine-tooth down-cutting blade. Do not use blades designed for cutting wood, as they can cause microfractures that weaken the edges of the countertop. A diamond blade is also unnecessary, as those are designed for harder materials like natural stone, which Corian is not.

After cutting, the edge will be rough. It is essential to sand and smooth the cut edge to prevent microfractures, which can eventually compromise the integrity of the countertop.

Labor plays a significant role in the installation of butcher block countertops. Depending on who you hire, your location, the customization level of the project, and whether the wood is already finished, you may pay a professional between $10 and $150 per square foot to install a butcher block countertop. On average, expect the per-hour price to run between $60 and $100.

On average, the cost to hire a carpenter ranges from about $75 to $100 per hour, depending on the type of carpentry, location, size of the job, and skill level of the carpenter. Get quotes from at least three carpenters in your area to determine the best price for your specific project.

A contract should outline the scope of work, timelines, costs, payment schedule, and materials used for clarity and protection.

Board and batten is a type of wainscotting that uses wider boards that are placed vertically, and it has a much more rustic aesthetic than wainscotting. Common wainscotting styles are raised-panel, flat-panel, and beadboard. Wainscotting is more intricate and will typically use more elegant, subtle trims compared to the more farmhouse-inspired boards of board and batten styles.
