"Amanda was great! Had a major crack in the kitchen window from either hail or a rock that spread really quickly. She replaced it, and you can’t tell anything ever happened! Very precise and takes her time which I appreciate."

"Joseph came out and did a great job. The windows look fantastic. Joseph himself was very professional, respectful and efficient. Washing all of the windows after some home construction was going to be a huge job for me and so I decided to hire Weird Windows and I would absolutely make this decision again and reccommend others to do the same. The money is well spent and the time saved is priceless. It would have taken me endless hours and results would be OK; Joseph was able to complete the job in a few hours and the results were excellent. The windows could not have been better. The window sills had never been cleaned and were terribly dirty and filled with grime; Joseph was able to get most everything out of the sills except the very corners to which I would suggest using a toothbrush or similar sized brush to get at the tight corners.
Overall, I was very pleased with his work. The windows look great.

"Computer did the "gotta send info to Microsoft" but when tried to reboot it ran through automatic repair without success. I did all the alternative without any success. He came and picked up the hard drive on Tuesday and returned it on Saturday. Fortunately he was able to "restore" without any data loss. Very happy with outcome."

"He came back twice and tried different ways to match the existing texture. We made an agreement for him to give me back $600 so I could hire a Synthetic specialist to fix the area under the window. He worked very hard to fix the problem with no results. I finally said stop just give back some $. My desired resolution was to be refunded $600 to hire a specialist on matching synthetic stucco. He refunded me $600. He followed me to ATM machine and refunded me. His painting was fine. His knowledge of Synthetic stucco texture was poor. But we worked it out."

Window Screen Repair questions, answered by experts

Among the various entry points into your residence, it's crucial to recognize that your basement windows are arguably the most susceptible. Basements usually have windows facing the side and back yards, often concealed from driveway floodlights, porch lighting, and doorbell cameras. Their vulnerability underscores the importance of reinforcing basement window security to safeguard your home from break-ins.

Installing a basement window generally takes a few hours, assuming there are no structural issues you need to resolve first. If you’re a novice DIYer, the project could take longer; on the flip side, a licensed and trained window contractor may be able to replace multiple basement windows in the time it takes a homeowner to replace one.

Tears, holes, or difficulty in opening and closing suggest a need for repair.

Window repairs cost $175 to $615, depending on the type of repair. Because double-hung windows have two sashes and multiple pieces of hardware, like locks and handles, there are many parts that can break over time. Repairing locks, latches, or other hardware costs about $75 to $200 and is easy to DIY. Fixing one or multiple sashes costs about $200 to $600.

Rescreening your porch can take a few hours to a whole day, depending on the size of the enclosure and the amount of screen that needs replacing. If you decide to have a professional handle the rescreening, be sure to get a timeline and a cost estimate so you know how long you’ll be without the screened-in space.
