"The technician showed up on time and seemed quite knowledgeable. He had a little trouble figuring out the problem but then recommended replacement of the capacitor and the power switch block which fixed the problem. we then discussed the fan motor and arrived at the mutual decision to replace it too. He did not have a motor on his truck but brought one and installed it the next day. I have not received the bill yet as the company sends bills bu email."

"The tech was very knowledgeable and skillful. He had to install the new blower fan into the existing fan housing, but he took the existing blower assembly (fan, motor, electrical, and housing) out to his truck in inclement weather to do the work. I offered up my garage, but he said that he would be fine out in his truck. From start to finish it could not have been more than 40 minutes. The blower unit runs and sounds like a brand-new install. Very quiet. Prior to the repair the blower sounded like a freight train passing through the house. Very happy and the cost was reasonable."

"During the prolonged heat wave this summer, I contacted Cygnature about installing AC in both my rental house and my residence. Aaron and Heather came to my house on a Sunday to prepare the estimates. He was great at explaining the options and helping me decided what type of system was best for each house. On Wed, of the same week, they had a cancellation so they hustled to get the units we needed. Central air in the rental and ductless in my home. Aaron and his son Dominick came out and got right to work. By the end of the day both houses were done and cool. He is far and away one of the best contractors I have ever worked with. Personable, ethical, professional, highly qualified and does excellent work for reasonable cost. I recommend him to others and will call on him to do routine maintenence service to keep eveything working well. 10 STARS!!!!!"

Heating and Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

Yes, it's normal for air conditioners to leak tiny amounts of water due to condensation. Under normal circumstances, all excess moisture travels to the drain pan to be pumped through your system's drain line. You should call a technician to diagnose the issue if you're noticing frequent leaking or pooling. It's also important to investigate if your homeowners insurance can cover water damage.

The time it takes for an air conditioner to dry fully after cleaning depends on the unit's size and humidity levels. Most units will dry within two to four hours after cleaning, but check the manufacturer's recommendations for drying times. Make sure to leave the unit off until it's completely dry.

Yes, it’s normal for an AC to drip water. In fact, it’s part of the dehumidifying process that takes place inside your AC unit as the condensation trickles down into the drain pan. However, it isn’t normal for your AC to sound like it’s running water or have large puddles around it. If that happens, you can try the solutions listed above or call an AC repair pro.

There are two main reasons your furnace and AC are turning on at the same time. The first could be that you’re confusing the furnace with the blower. The blower is located in the furnace and will turn on to distribute cool air from the air conditioner through the ductwork in the home. This is normal. If the actual furnace is turning on at the same time as the AC and hot and cool air are coming into the home, it could be a result of incorrect writing to a new thermostat or new systems.

The best way to save money on HVAC repairs is by regularly having your system inspected and maintained. This can prevent bigger problems and costly repairs and replacements in the future. It’s also smart to buy quality equipment and hire companies that provide warranties on equipment and labor. If you need repairs, you may be able to save money by cashing in on rebates and incentives or keeping the area around your HVAC unit clear to shorten the time your contractor needs to spend in your home.
