"Horrible customer service and the product is only getting worse over time. I have ordered 16 shutters from them over 5 separate orders during the last two years. A recent order late last year came with parts missing and getting replacement parts was a hassle because I had to provide pictures. How do you provide pictures of missing parts? My most recent order arrived without the mounting strips and blocking strips being pre-drilled. I received the screws and screw covers but no holes for them. After multiple back and forth with "Angie" from customer service I was forwarded a poorly spelled response from their supplier stating "usually" they don't pre-drill holes. Usually? All of my other shutters over the last two years were pre-drilled. I was then told it was my fault because this order was a single panel shutter vs all my previous orders being dual shutters and I would have to pay to get replacement strips with pre-drilled holes in them. What does a single vs a dual shutter have to do with whether or not holes are drilled in hanging and blocking strips?"

"The Window Gang came highly recommended by my neighbors in the Sunset Ridge Condominiums. I hired them to do exterior washing only on August 24. There must have been a misunderstanding about removing and replacing the screens. We had to remove them and the worker and my husband put them back. I thought all was well with the exterior job and noticed smudges and paint spots on some of the windows that the worker said were from the interior. I asked how much more it would be to clean the interior windows and he said it would be around $100 and that he or Alfonso (?) would come either Thursday or Friday that same week. No one ever followed up. Last Sunday, I began cleaning the interior windows myself. I noticed that some exterior windows were not thoroughly clean and I cleaned them. I’m about halfway through cleaning my windows. All in the all, the Window Gang job was fair at best. I am not happy about no one following up with me to clean the interior windows, and I would not recommend Window Gang nor would hire them again."

"We have not been happy with Maidtopia. In 7 months we were with them, there were a few items treated roughly (shelves knocked off wall; air conditioner vent knocked out of window; wall hangings accidentally knocked off multiple times); the cleaner was regularly late with a different excuse most visits (flat tire, traffic, behind a funeral procession, stuck in mud, held up by train, alarm didn’t go off, car trouble, road shut down, had to stop for cleaning supplies — these are literal excuses documented via texts); and cleaner often did not stay for three hours during purchased three hour cleanings (usually staying 1.5-2 hours, until I questioned what was happening). Cleaner did a lot of work overall and was very helpful getting our initially messy house cleaned up, so we stuck through some issues. The final straw for us was the cleaner not following instructions (cleaned a room clearly marked “do not clean” that has always been “off limits” for cleaning due to the room housing incredibly breakable/sentimental items). I recently lost my father, and her randomly dusting/cleaning/arranging things I had kept that were on his person at his death was heartbreaking. I would’ve put those things away if I had chosen to let her clean the office! It was overall way more work than it should have been to monitor and correct concerns. My recommendation is that it will be much easier to choose a different housekeeping service and hopefully avoid so many issues."

"It started off okay. I only found out the extent of what they had done when I returned home several months later. They had offered to do some contracting work as well since I wanted a few alterations to the house. What I didn’t know at the time because I had to vacate the house while they replaced floors, changed appliances, replaced all the wiring in the house, etc., is that they hired illegal immigrants to do the work who I’m not quite sure were even licensed to do it. Sylvia at one point sat down with me and said she specifically she wanted to help this class of people through offering them jobs. I’m not opposed to that provided they are QUALIFIED to do it and don’t do crummy work. Furthermore I ended up hiring one of their cleaners to help me with some things. She herself had DACA but her mother who worked here as well at the time was illegal. I have a sensitive job with the state and specifically cannot hire illegal immigrants. In addition, I was told by this young woman I hired that she and her mother were instructed to throw anything away that “had dirt on it”. Consequently I’m missing thousands and thousands of dollars of merchandise, including jewelry and kitchen appliances that were in boxes, food I had shipped there for them to put away, and home decorations, as well as heirlooms, dishes, and silverware that was in the sink, or the dishwasher, or drawers and cabinets in my kitchen and bathrooms. I dropped by the house to check on things one night. It was 9-9:30 pm. I heard someone rummaging around in the backyard in my things. N & S had put all my furnishings and appliances on the back deck including 100+ year old family antiques. Uncovered. At any rate I rather stupidly opened the door as it could have been someone with a gun, and I find this small Hispanic man who speaks no English whatsoever rummaging through what was put out there, going through items and boxes that had nothing to do with electrical work mind you. He handed me a phone and it was Sylvia one half owner of N&S on the line with him. She said he was the “electrician”. She had to translate as I showed him the work. I don’t mind that, it’s that I don’t think he was even certified as I look around today at the shoddy workmanship of whoever she hired and charged me $30/hr plus, in order to complete things I asked for her to do. I fully regret ever hiring this company. I wish I could undo time. They have literally destroyed my confidence in hiring contractors. I will never do it again unless I know 5hem already or get a referral from a known contractor. They either threw out or stole food, priceless heirlooms, jewelry, appliances (then reinstalled the old broken ones), etc. They threw out a super expensive mattress and tried to replace it with a cheap one. I don’t appreciate what they did, which is enrich themselves at my expense then not deliver. I could go on and tell you story after story of how they utterly failed to do what they said they would do, a good job mainly, and to save me money. I look around on and a half years later and so many things are broken that they installed incorrectly it’s just laughable that they are still in business fooling people out of their money I’m sure."
