"I've used this company several times with a 100% success rate. Most recently, they installed the shower fittings and repaired a drain leak. They are punctual, efficient, and cost competitive. They always answer the phone and are quick to get to the jobsite. The work is done correctly and warrantied. I highly recommend."

Small jobs welcome

"Great work. I hired them to do 2 different projects. The first project was to install drains from my gutters under my driveway into the front portion of my yard. After the drains he re-surfaced my driveway with crushed limestone. It looks beautiful and after a few rains, it hardens nearly like concrete. I liked the work so much, I had him back to bring in some dirt and fix an erosion problem behind my house. Highly recommended"

"After two cancellations, two techs arrived promptly on the third appointment. They were clean, nice-looking young men...very courteous and friendly. They surveyed the job, calculated a price, went right to work, and were done in under an hour. The work done was perfect. An estimate they made to perform some extra work if necessary (snake the line is the repaired sink did not drain properly) seemed unreasonably high - an additional $274. The $319 I paid to fix the sink wasn't cheap, since it took them less than 30 minutes to complete, but I wasn't expecting cheap. I would consider using this firm again."

French Drains questions, answered by experts

The cost to clean a sewer line is about $370, ranging from about $190 to $550 on average. The specific cleaning method and the problem's severity will impact the project's overall cost. Some of the most common sewer line cleaning methods include:

  • Snaking or rodding: $100–$250

  • Hydrojetting: $350–$600

  • Chemical treatments: $600–$1,000

  • Repair or replacement: $1,000–$7,500

If the drain is frozen, the pipes connecting to the washing machine are likely frozen. If the hot water trick doesn’t also unfreeze the washing machine pipes, you can gently apply heat with a hair dryer on the lowest setting. Start at the end of the pipe closest to the faucet to prevent pressure from building in the pipes, and make sure the faucet is open to drain the water as it melts.

A professional drain cleaner is a plumber or specialized drain cleaner with the necessary tools to unclog drains and tiles to keep waste water flowing out to the septic tank or city sewer for processing. Keeping wastewater from backing up into your home helps keep you and your family safe from potential contamination and sickness. These pros can help resolve nearly any drain situation in a safe and efficient manner.

To keep window wells from filling up with water, you need to stay on top of maintenance. Remove debris as it fills up, and regularly loosen the gravel at the base if it’s become compacted. You can also reslope your yard to make sure water flows away from the window well (and your home’s foundation), and you can even install a window well cover to prevent debris from building up. Installing an actual drainpipe at the base of the well can also prevent window well drainage problems.

The spin cycle on your washer should initiate draining, but if you still find leftover water in the washing machine tub, you may need to drain it manually. To manually drain a washing machine, you’ll need to turn off the power supply and locate the drain hose, filter, and pump. Open or disconnect these parts and let the water drain into a bucket.
