"Texan Water had a technician at my house within hours of contacting them about my well problems. Technician had the skills and knowledge to troubleshoot the problem and replace only what was needed. He was friendly and gave me advice about maintaining my well properly. He replaced the control box and pressure gauge. He was here and gone in in less than an hour. Wouldn't call anyone else for future problems. Highly recommend this company."

"Brandon and Ivan were amazing! I had my shower tub converted into a walk-in shower. The guys showed up at 8:30am and by 6:30pm. I had a whole new bathroom. It looks fantastic! As Brandon and Ivan tore out the old tub, they found some pretty serious issues under the floor and behind the walls. They fixed the problems and continued doing their magic. The whole process was so easy and stress free. Also, I have to give a shout out to David who explained the whole process, helped me design my shower, and kept me in my budget. I absolutely recommend this company!"

"Harmond helped me over video link to test the components in my broken refrigerator. The testing confirmed that it was the compressor that had failed. I purchased a new refrigerator because I decided it was not worth the cost to replace the compressor."

"The team was great, especially the leads Earle, Austin, and CJ. They give you a heads up on their ETA, introduce themselves and the plan to ensure they carry out the agreement you had with the first PoC who for me was Jarret Perkins. Also a very great guy as well who will ensure your questions and overall inquiries are taken care of before, during, and after the service! The team who worked even took the time to save the plants that were near the work area and cut around the stone entrance I have so I can put it back together instead of making their lives easier and cut straight through that area of the home. They were even kind enough to seal a small chip in the driveway with the cement they used to close back the holes they made. Which by the way you can?t even see they even worked on due to how they were capable of cleaning and setting EVERYTHING back together."

"My installer John was fantastic. He did an amazing job and I am so pleased with his attention to detail and the way it all turned out. With my home being almost 100 years old nothing is plum or square. He was so caring and took his time and it came out beautifully. I am so glad John was my installer he is amazing."

Percolation Tests questions, answered by experts

Common areas include insulation, flooring, ceilings, and siding in older buildings. Professionals identify potential risks.

Asbestos is a carcinogen, meaning it increases the risk of cancer. Inhaling asbestos fibers is linked to several respiratory issues, including asbestosis, or scarring on the lungs, lung cancer, and mesothelioma, another type of cancer. There's also a link between asbestos exposure and an increased risk of colon cancer and other cancers of the digestive system.

Usually, the people most at risk for disease related to asbestos exposure are those who spend a lot of time working around the material without protection. Electricians who work with asbestos wire have a higher risk of developing mesothelioma or lung cancer due to their exposure.

No, an N95 mask will not protect against asbestos and many other hazardous materials, such as carbon monoxide, gas, chemical vapors, and other gases. You will need a respirator specifically designed to protect against asbestos. However, if you suspect asbestos is present in your home, hire an asbestos abatement professional immediately and avoid the area until they arrive for the inspection.

If you think you’ve touched asbestos, do not put on a mask. This is important because you may take the asbestos fibers on your hands on trap them in the mask. Make your way to a sink and wash your hands thoroughly. Remove any clothes and seal them in a bag, then take a shower. Call your doctor and let them know you’ve been exposed to asbestos, and make sure you see them as soon as possible. The reason you keep the clothes is in case anyone wants to confirm the presence of asbestos.

Because of the danger of inhaling asbestos fibers, figuring out through testing whether your popcorn ceiling contains asbestos is definitely worth it. If the popcorn ceiling texture has asbestos, remove it as soon as possible to keep your family safe. Any home built in or before the 1980s that has popcorn ceilings could have asbestos, necessitating testing. Asbestos carries several health risks for people who inhale it, including the increased chance of developing lung cancer in the future.
