Small jobs welcome

"We cannot say enough good things about JE Sanchez Remodeling! The 2 men came to our house, gave a quote on several projects, and showed up promptly to begin work. They were both so knowledgeable and competent, and so respectful. We are so VERY pleased with their work, and would definitely recommend them for any home repairs! One project was some flooring that had water damage to it. They repaired it and replaced new tile, it is beautiful! Another project is replacing screen on our porch, and putting new ledges up. We also have some ceiling repair that needs attention. We are very confident that when it is all done next week we will be so happy with their hard work. I know that any future repairs/remodeling we need, we will sure know who to call! We are confident they can handle any of our requests."

Backsplash Installation questions, answered by experts

Most professional shower tile installations take between six and eight hours, depending on the size and complexity. Most projects get completed in a single workday. DIY-ing the project takes around three to four days or roughly 16 hours. However, this will vary based on the skill level of the person completing the work.

Yes, cracked tiles allow water to seep through the substrate or subfloor, leading to mold and mildew growth. It can also cause severe structural damage. At the very least, water damage can cause your tile to lift from the substrate, meaning one cracked tile can lead to several cracked tiles. It’s a good idea to waterproof tile in areas with direct water exposure or lots of moisture.

Glass tiles are among the most difficult to install. This is because their transparency makes the adhesive visible, and any imperfections on the opposite side are also likely to be visible. Glass tiles also must be handled carefully during installation, as they are prone to scratching. For these reasons, glass tiles often require professional installation to get the most out of their beauty and unique look.

Larger tiles can be difficult to install because they’re heavier and bulkier than their smaller counterparts, which makes them harder to haul around and put in place. Plus, if you don’t install the tiles correctly, they could crack or break. For these reasons, it’s best to hire a professional for large-format tile installation.

Flooring transition strips can be secured to the subfloor using glue, nails, or screws. For a more secure installation, especially in high-traffic areas, using screws or nails is recommended as it reduces the risk of slippage. However, if aesthetic appeal is a priority, glue provides a cleaner, more seamless finish without any visible holes or screw heads.
