"I am very late posting this. This company did the best roofing job I have ever seen. When I was younger I did a lot of roofing jobs myself, so I know what to look for. Also, I am a very particular about the work being done on our house. Upon completion of project, I looked it over good. I have never seen a roofing job done where I didn't find something that wasn't done quiet right. Because of the design of the our house, I know it was challenging, but you did great. I will call no other company for my roofing from now on. I just visited their website www.beelerroofing.com and noticed my house is the one on their home page. It did turn out good. Also, Alan Staggs did an awesome job supervising the project. He kept me updated on the progress and did a good job dealing with the insurance company. Due to a previous bad experience from another company, I put cameras out in the yard so I could watch them from work. EXCELLENT JOB GUYS!"

"Josh is a great handyman. Not only does he do quality work, but he is professional, meticulous and courteous. The doors look great and he was respectful and cleaned up after himself. I will be hiring him again in the furore for other upgrades to my property."

"I thought that the repair on my roof would be easy, and not take any time and effort, but when Efrain started getting into it, he found that more damage had been done to the structure than we first had thought. He made the needed repairs to the structure that was rotten and repaired the roof flawlessly and was very efficient. He was had a fantastic work ethic and attitude about everything. I would highly recommend him and Athens Premier Roofing to anyone that needs just a simple roof repair or a whole new roof. They do quality work and an extremely fair price. Be sure and help this local young man if you ever need any type of work done, he does much more than just roofing."

Roofing questions, answered by experts

In some cases, yes, you can put a second roof layer over architectural shingles, but it depends on your home’s structural stability and the local building codes where you live. Architectural shingles are thicker and heavier than standard asphalt shingles, so you may need structural reinforcement or a structural engineer’s inspection before proceeding. Additionally, some building departments don’t allow for two roof layers, regardless of the roof type. You should ask a professional if ripping the old roof off before installing the new one is the best option for you.

Roof blistering and hail damage are different in their physical appearance. Blistering, often caused by inadequate ventilation, low-quality material, and improper installation, looks like large, irregular bubbles popping out of your roof. Meanwhile, hail damage is usually circular or oval dents entering your roof and often follows the same path as the hail storm.

The terms “roof sealant” and “roof coating” are used interchangeably to describe the rubber, silicone, polyurethane, or acrylic product applied to the roof’s surface for waterproofing and UV protection. Products like roof caulk can also be called “roof sealant,” but the term is more commonly used for the protective coating.

Yes, a roof blister can cause a leak if it gets to the point where it pops. Prior to popping, a roof blister is just an aesthetic issue, but once it pops, you’re left with a small hole in the shingle. Water from rain and snow can easily get inside this hole and interact with your underlayment, roof decking, and the building material below.

Technically, a flat roof can be raised, but it’s extremely expensive, and there would not be much of a point. Most homeowners raise the roof in their homes to access the space between their existing ceiling and the roof, but flat roofs don’t have this space. Therefore, you can raise a flat roof, but it involves heavy structural modification.
