"When we found out that the front of our house (20 years old) had to be raised, we called several companies. Some were big named companies and then we called Honesty after seeing good reviews in the Nextdoor Neighbor App. All of them came over and had the exact same readings on their digital level meter. But Honesty was the least of the estimates for the same basic number of pilings. Andre showed up on time to give us their estimate. He was extremely friendly and professional. He did not bad mouth any of the other companies but rather talked about his company and owner Joe Winters. He took the time to go over everything with us and answered all the questions we had for him. He was very thorough and patient. Upon advice of a builder who stated that local companies really rely on word of mouth and that their reputation is key to their success (unlike bigger companies), we decided on Honesty. They did the work in the time that Andre stated. The entire crew was very nice and Jorge, the crew leader, was very professional. Honesty uses the same crew so they are very cognizant of what the owner wants and how he wants every job done; they also work so well together. They lifted the house with Joe, the owner of the company, coming over to oversee that process. They cleaned up afterwards, cemented in the "block outs" where holes through concrete had to be made and the house looked basically untouched except for the mounds of grass over the holes but that is going to be normal. They even took some of the extra dirt and filled in some low level areas in our front lawn for us. Any questions I had for Andre, he answered during the entire process. He answered all texts immediately. You will not go wrong at all with Honesty Foundation!"

We are in a time when customers are quick to complain and find fault with the quality of work that has been completed. I am doing just the opposite.Abry's team was professional, friendly and very helpful whenever I asked any questions and they took the time to carry on a conversation while they were working. Their work ethic and attention to detail totally impressed me. They put in nine piers and at the end of the day—I can honestly say that there was NO evidence they did any work. Everything was put back and it looked as though nothing was disturbed—right down to the mulch in the landscaped areas. Every one of the individuals I came in contact with at Abry Brothers was helpful and went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied. "I contacted these guys before I became an Angie's List member.  After I became an Angie's list member called them again. I had sent an email from this site asking again for an estimate. The owner rushed over that day. Told me he had fired the lady answering the phones (was there to collect the monies some weeks later.)  as this was not how his company was ran.  I had previously  hired an outside contractor who did not do foundations , only reviews signed off by a certified engineer.  He recommended 28 piers externally and 5 internally. This was the paperwork I sent to Texas Foundation repair. On the day Jim, the owner came over,  he looked at the paperwork and gave me a quote for under 1/2 of what I had from anyone else.  He even said, normally we charge $350 for the internal piers , but I want to make you happy and I want you to give us a good review on Angie's list, so I will do it all for $4900.  I went with it, because I didn't want to spend twice as much money and there was a life time warrenty.  Should have recognized the cheezy line of "what is your birthday?" and when I responded with my birthday, he said, "mine too! that is why we can communicate!"   He also recommended many more piers on the outside than the 28, and this was included in his price. He explained going all the way around the house would make it better.  It was a huge job. He told me normally for a house my size they used 8 pallets of concrete blocks, but for mine , they ended up used 17.  They broke two outside hose lines, and I brought in an outside plumber to fix them as they just kind of left them mid-job. Jimmy was never around, and when he did show up it was to call and tell me something like " there is a leak under your house, and that is why we have to use so many blocks.".  Suddenly they decided the 5 piers internally were not needed because the house had leveled very well with the outside piers.  When I expressed concern about issues in the future Jimmy assured me there would not be any issues and he told me they were now only going to charge me $4500. . They did a good job of doing it fairly fast, and fixing the concrete and cleaning up except 2 holes which for some reason they did not completely fill in.  When  they finally collected their money. Jimmy sent the young lady he supposedly fired to collect and give me a warranty.  She told me that if I needed anything to call them and she make sure it was taken care of , but advised me not to leave messages with the answering service as they were not good, and that was the reason there was an issue before as she was on vacation. I told her I was upset about the "leak"  under my house and I had hired a plumbing company to scope it as I did not want this to affect my warranty.  There were also still two of the holes from the foundation not covered.  Then a week later I get a call form Jimmy telling me they want to make me happy so they will scope my plumbing for free which they did a week later while I was out of town.  Well, I went ahead and had the other company come and scope my plumbing and they found no pipe breaks.  I was given the video and all. I called Jimmy as they had come earlier in the week to ask about the results and he told me there a  was leak. When I told him the company I hired had not found one, he said he would come the next week and show me the video. Have not heard from them since. Bottom line is do no know if I got a good deal, but really worry I didn't. Would not go with these guys again. And while they are rated as a B company on here, they have "look at our A+ rating on Angies list"  on the trucks and t-shirts they wear.   I do not know if they will honor the warranty they gave me.   Just  a really slimy oily feeling from this company.
10/21/13 On the night this was posted, I received a Text message from Jimmy  which said:  "Thank you for your review!  We will certainly honor your warranty!".   The next morning early before 8 am I received 3 calls from a restricted number.  (Jimmy had previously called from his cell.  )  I picked up the third call.  It was Jimmy.  He asked me to take a line out of my review which he considered personal and threatened to sue me if I did not do it. " I want that line out of the review!".   I took it out because it made no real difference in the review and consideration of the fact that it bothered him.  However, this really proved to me the validity of my concerns.
