Customers say: Quick response

"We highly recommend Wayne for drywall replacement and repairs. He gave a fair price for drywall work in two rooms and was always very prompt and efficient. We were really happy to find someone who is willing to take small jobs and plan to hire him again in the future."

"John Rector made this whole process easy. Came in promptly, sized up our situation, and gave us his recommendations on the best way to tackle our drywall issues. We are a business and he was able to work around our busy hours to ensure a safe environment for our clients if they happened to come into the gym while they worked. Polite, friendly, professional, informative, and thorough. John and his team cleaned up their multiple work areas and were out as soon as the job was finished. They even took out the trash and debris. Would highly recommend for business and residential projects. Anything drywall, John is your guy."

"Alberto and his crew did an amazing job on our renovation project. They created a dedicated home office with can lighting and French doors, walled in the open space to make a beautiful dining room with an inset accent wall, painted throughout the home, and completed several other small projects. They were professional, timely, and a pleasure to work with. I am thrilled with the finished work and will be using them exclusively for any future projects."

Drywall questions, answered by experts

Yes, if there is mold in your drywall mud and you then use it to build walls in your house—or if mold develops in your set drywall, like it can in hot and humid areas—it can lead to illness. Mold in your drywall (or other parts of your home) can make existing respiratory conditions or allergies worse, and the effect can be more intense for those who have existing health issues or compromised immune systems.

Cracks, water damage, and holes from fixtures or impact.

In some minor cases, you can DIY drywall repair with minimal time and money spent. This method is best when you have a hole made by a singular problem, such as accidental furniture moving, and not a continuous problem, like a rodent infestation.

Knowing what product to use is crucial. For example, small holes only need spackle, whereas large holes might need a new piece of drywall. You can flex your DIY abilities on this project, but if you’d like a second opinion or have a more significant problem, it’s best to call in a drywall repair pro.

A post-drywall inspection could uncover many problems that weren’t present during the pre-drywall inspection, including insufficient insulation, missing weather stripping, improperly installed plumbing and lighting fixtures, flooring damage, drywall damage, plumbing leaks, aesthetic issues, and more. Structural problems, which are often expensive to fix and are common reasons to walk away after a home inspection, are easier to see before the drywall goes up, but a post-drywall inspection may highlight minor issues with house settling and foundation problems.

Whether it’s better to screw or glue drywall depends on your specific budget and project timeline. Professional drywall installers are more likely to use screws and fasteners than adhesives, but it takes longer. But if you are DIYing your drywall installation, glue is a perfectly fine choice if you’re willing to pay extra for adhesive.
