"This was a residential job (updating most of the electrical wiring). Eduardo did a wonderful job adding in extra lights and updating fixtures. The quality of his work is excellent! I would recommend this company to anyone who needs any electrical work to be done."

"Oscar installed 4 ceiling fans (3 bedrooms and 1 in a vaulted ceiling in the living room).  He located a short in the wiring in a bedroom that had all the sockets and switches knocked out very quickly.  A switch in the vanity area was also 'mis-wired' and he corrected it.
He kindly offered suggestions for the light fixtures in the vanity area.  I need additional work (lighting) and will absolutely use Oscar again.

"Venessa was prompt and her entire team was very professional. Miguel and his sons are the installers and they did the job in a day. I have already seen a difference in my energy bills. I plan to remodel my bathroom and won't hesitate to call Associated Home Design.

"Owner, Cindy, was great to work with. She made suggestions and ideas but was willing to work with our desires and even use and/or relocate some of what we had. Cindy was prompt to meetings, easy to contact, and available. The work was completed in a timely fashion and she was onsite even working herself. We are very happy with the finished project, and the project was completed within our budget. Cindy has remained available to us for advise and questions. We don't hesitate in highly recommending Watermark Gardens."

"

It was fine. The guy seems like a nice guy; he is a young guy who is trying to build his business. So he had his associate come out and check all the plugs.  But then when he came out he did not have a record of exactly what plugs his associate had found problems with so he kind of had to go back through and do it again. So I thought there was a little communication issue there. But the work that he did was good and he put up some new lights in the garage. That was great because I had not had lights in the garage for years. He also offered a cash discount, which I appreciated. He was good and I would call him again. He came out around the time I purchased the deal. He took care of rechecking it, but I thought it was a waste of time for him.

"I am new to Texas from the northeast and didn't know what things would grow in Texas. Gentleman came out and spent about 45 minutes with me walking the yard helping me identify plants that would meet my needs.  He also walked around and identified the plants I currently have and gave me suggestions on their well being and to get the most out of them. He wrote down an entire list of options that would work in our yard and gave me suggestions to where to purchase that would be more in-expensive than large chain stores. Overall very friendly and professional.

Lighting questions, answered by experts

Yes, animals can trigger motion-sensor lights. In fact, this is a reason why some homeowners install motion-sensor lights, to catch sneaky little critters looking through the rubbish for a midnight snack. There are sensitivities to animal detection though, so you may want to look for an option that avoids animal detection as much as possible.

To maintain your outdoor lighting and prevent major issues, you should regularly clean the fixtures, inspect the wiring and connections, and replace worn or burnt-out bulbs promptly. These simple steps ensure consistent operation and extend the life of your lighting system.

A motion detector light may need to be reset due to a number of technical issues. These can include faulty or misadjusted sensors and burned-out bulbs. You may also need to reset a motion sensor after an electrical surge or a power outage, as these can change a light’s settings and cause it to function differently.

The average cost to install outdoor or landscape lighting is around $4,000, with most projects ranging from $2,000 to $6,000. The total cost can vary widely depending on several factors, including the number of fixtures, design complexity, and the type and quality of the lights used, such as wall sconces, pathway lights, or lamp posts. Other factors that influence the price are the square footage of the area being lit, the amount of electrical work needed, any required excavation or trenching, and local permitting costs. For specific types, you might pay around $100 for pathway or string lighting and up to $700 for lamp post lighting.

The cost to repair a short circuit depends on the type of repair. A faulty outlet or simple loose wire can be a simple fix that might only cost a handful of dollars. For example, if you need to rewire a house, you’ll spend around $2 to $4 per square foot, but replacing an entire electrical panel costs anywhere from $500 to $2,100.
