"I was reluctant to change from tile to a sheet type material in my master bath shower in my bath remodel, but the sealing problems with my old bath changed my mind. So I had Bath Expo tear out the old and install a whole new shower system. Reasonable price (I had four bids). Jose and Tavo showed up at 8:45am, we re polite and efficient. Careful in minimizing any mess, but exacting and precise in their work. I witnessed every step, including the two visits fro the plumber and a drop in supervisor. The final result was just beautiful, and the cleaned up very well and were gone before 7 pm. I highly recommend them."

Windows questions, answered by experts

Fiberglass and wood windows last the longest, with lifespans of up to 45 years or more with proper maintenance. Wood windows are more expensive than vinyl and aluminum windows, but they’re 10% to 20% less expensive than fiberglass windows. Repairing and restoring wood windows is also easier than with fiberglass windows, so they’re considered the more durable option overall.

Egress windows require regular maintenance to ensure they function correctly. This includes cleaning the glass, inspecting the frame and well for debris, and making sure the cover or well drains properly. It is also important to check that the window sills and wells are watertight and to inspect and repair any damage to the window frame or seals to prevent leaks and maintain functionality.

Yes, you can create a solution of dish soap and hot water to create a cleaning solution. You’ll want to mix about one to two drops of dish soap for every 8 ounces of hot water. If you use too much soap, it’ll create too many suds and make it harder to effectively wash away.

Storm windows are well worth the cost, especially if you live in an area that experiences extreme weather, like hurricanes, a lot of snowfall, or high winds. These windows not only help keep you and your home safe during a storm, but they can also save you thousands in storm and window damage costs.

The differences between a bay window versus a bow window involve the number of individual windows and the angle at which both windows extend from the home. A bow window has four to six individual windows that form a curve outside the exterior wall. A bay window usually has two small windows on the edges that angle outward from the exterior wall and a large window in the middle that’s parallel to the home’s exterior wall.
