The stone wall came out beautifully and really boosts our curb appeal. The crew chose quality limestone that matched our house and took great care of our existing plants. They even raised the flowerbed, which I was pleasantly surprised to see! They clearly had a vision for what the product should look like, and I’m glad I trusted the experts. Since they are so fragile, it is not usually recommended to stack anything on top of your packed lamps. If you have sturdy boxes, and what you plan to put on top of them is of a similar weight, it’s okay to stack.

With the proper maintenance and care, stained cabinets can last for 30 years. You’ll need to properly clean your stained cabinets with a gentle mixture of vinegar and warm water and repair minor cracks and scratches when required. As long as you commit to maintaining stained wood cabinets, you can enjoy their beauty for many years to come. 

Standard 2x4 boards and plywood or particle boards are sturdy and cost-effective for making garage shelves, and pressure-treated 2x4s are best for any portion that will contact an unfinished concrete slab in the garage. You can create custom shelving with these materials or use standard sizes for fewer cuts. Plywood and 2x4s are easy to work with and cut with a standard miter saw. The natural wood offers a modern look and will hold up for decades.

There are three primary ways to attach upper kitchen cabinets to a wall, and installers may use more than one method at a time. The most common method is to drive screws through the back of the cabinets and into studs in the wall behind. Sometimes cabinets are glued to the wall with strong adhesive. Often a combination of screws and adhesive is desirable. The last way is by hanging the cabinets on hardware brackets that attach to the wall before cabinet installation.

Cabinets should last about 20 years. Of course, the total lifespan of your cabinet depends on the wear and tear it’s put through—the more use and handling, the faster it's prone to needing repair. When looking at your cabinets, look for the following to determine if they need to be repaired or replaced:
