"They were really good. I got a couple of repairs and the first man who look at it he said ?Well all of this wood are damage we will replace the whole thing for $13000?. My husband who is a retired engineer said you know that?s a little bit too high why don?t you get another estimate and so I called E-Tex Foundation Repair and they came over. He and another guy ? two guys, they went all underneath the house (it?s an older house that I'm selling) and I was with them and then my husband went down to verify the only thing that really is damage are some of the boards in front of the house and we suggest you don?t replacing those boards and then doing something about the water dribbling underneath the house but he said actually you don?t need to replace all of these boards just the once in the front that are rotten and so we had them to do it and they did it for $3250 and I am really pleased. They work really well. They work really hard and I think they can do it for two or a day to do it. I thought it will take a lot longer time but they really do a good work and that other man wanted $13000 to replace boards that didn?t need to be replaced and he even didn?t get down underneath to look in there. I do recommend them. They were good and they tell me exactly what had happened and they help me did an investigation of why is just the front of the house that has a rotten boards and water had been pulling from the front yard when it rain underneath the house and so what we did because the front yard was higher underneath the house is that we put in a French drain system ? we did that ourselves, my husband did it with my brother and they dug a ditch and put a pipe down to catch the water and they just rerouted it down the hill and we carefully we gotten that problem solved. They are really good and they know what they are doing with foundations.

Bottom line, They really were good and they know what they are doing. They will not give you false information. You can trust these guys to know what they are doing and I just really appreciated that. I thought their price were reasonable for all that they did because $3000 to replace all of those boards and beams and post and all of that in front of the house ? I thought was reasonable. For quality of work ? my husband help with this. He understands that. He is an engineer and got down underneath the house to look at the work and all of that and so I am really thankful for him because he knows better than I do what constitute quality work and so he thought they did a good job to. They are based in Gladewater and when I called them I thought and wonder if you guys can come to Tyler and they said no problem we go all over and the next day they came and look at the house. They got with it, got through with it and got out of there. They don?t waste time. They were very professional. They were friendly. They were nice. They just tell us what the problem was and fix it. I think they?re great. I can see why they?re on Angie?s List and people use them because they?re good workers."

"The Basement Kings finished their LARGE job this morning, and I can’t praise them enough! They had a long, difficult job, but no complaints. When they discovered a problem, they fixed it. No problem, that’s their job. They found the water problem had a lot to do with drainage, so they worked outside in cold & rain & developed a system to carry water away from the house. That, to me, was over & above, but they said their main objective was to get & keep the basement dry, so they did what they had to do with no complaints. Now you can’t ask for better than that - they give their all! I am totally amazed!!"

Concrete Driveways questions, answered by experts

You should always power wash your driveway before applying a sealant. At any given time, your driveway could be covered with algae and moss, tire residue, oil and rust stains, and any combination of leaves, twigs, and dirt. If you skip power washing, you’ll be trapping the dirt and grime beneath the sealant and lowering its chance of cementing itself to your driveway. While you can expect the cost to pressure wash your driveway to average between $100 and $350, the few hundred dollars beats an unattractive driveway or paying extra to reapply your driveway sealer.

Stamped concrete is durable and relatively easy to maintain. Regular maintenance includes sweeping away debris to keep it clean and prevent staining. It is also important to repair any cracks promptly to maintain its appearance and longevity. The concrete should be resealed every 2 to 4 years to protect the surface.

Yes, acid washing can change the appearance of the original brick stain color. It removes dirt, and efflorescence, often revealing the brick's original color and restoring its natural beauty. However, if not done carefully, it can also cause slight variations in color due to the cleaning process.

Maintaining a driveway depends on its material. For concrete and asphalt, it's best to clean the surface thoroughly twice a year with a stiff broom and a pressure washer to remove accumulated dirt and debris. Sealing the driveway is crucial to protect it from water damage and freeze-thaw cycles. Before applying a sealant, pressure wash the surface to remove any loose sealant, dirt, or stains, as sealing over them will trap them. Any cracks or expansion joints should be filled with a flexible polyurethane caulk or asphalt sealer. In colder climates, use sand instead of salt for de-icing. Sand helps melt snow and ice without accelerating the freeze-thaw process, which can cause cracks.

The time it takes to pressure wash your driveway is mainly based on size (but your driveway’s material and condition also play a role). Small driveways can be pressure washed within an hour, medium within two hours, and large within four hours. However, this does not consider any prep time or time that sealing your driveway would take.
