Our dirt work includes all types of residential and commercial needs to make your land ready for anything. Free estimates! LDC specializes in site prep, digging ditches for utility lines, water and sewer lines, drainage, leveling, stripping top soil, hauling materials with 12 yard dump trucks, blading roads, ripping and pushing caliche with our cat d6 dozer, loading material with our 950 cat front end loader, and demolition. Jake Merryman, my grandfather taught me everything I know. I grew up being around equipment and eventually worked for him. After closing his company and dedicated myself to his company that he started in 1967 with a shovel. I opened Lucas Dirt Construction here, in Texas. A small company indeed but only because we value our long term customer relationships.

Dirt Hauling questions, answered by experts

Before a move, prioritize projects that involve repairing broken or old home features over ones with the highest ROI—because no amount of manufactured stone veneer will distract potential buyers from an interior that's falling apart. Only after you've tended to your home's biggest sore spots should you turn your attention to other potential renovations.

Plan on cleaning your crawl space at least once a year, though twice a year is ideal. During the cleaning, remove any debris or dust and check for potential issues like pest infestations or water damage. The sooner you catch these issues, the easier (and cheaper) it will be to fix them.

You can’t simply throw your ductwork out with your usual trash because waste management won’t accept especially large or bulky garbage without a prior appointment. Instead, you’ll need to haul it to the dump yourself or hire a service to do it for you. Alternatively, certain types of ducts can be recycled, so contact your local recycling facility to find out if they’ll accept your old ductwork.

Sure thing! Recycling natural lump charcoal offers even more possibilities. Try using it as mulch to suppress weeds in your yard. You can also add a piece of charcoal to your vase to prolong the lifespan of cut flowers. Remember, fresh lump charcoal works wonders as an odor neutralizer, but avoid using used charcoal as it may lead to contamination.

One of the best ways to prepare for a home biohazard cleanup is not to touch anything. Do not remove belongings, even if they are of value or importance, from the area as they are likely contaminated. It’s essential not to use any cleaning products of your own, as the cleaning company will be using chemicals that could interact with your products.

One thing you can do to prepare is take pictures of your space and belongings that need to be cleaned, especially if you plan on filing a claim with your insurance company. In addition, take time to make a list of items that are valuable, sentimental, or otherwise important. The cleanup company must evaluate these belongings to make sure they are safe.
