"Jim with North Alabama Technical Services removed some items from my computer so that I could send emails and attend to items I needed to address that day. As planned, the next day he thoroughly cleaned my computer, he also made helpful suggestions while working on my computer. I would call him again if needed and I thought the fee was reasonable."

"Ben Mensay, the owner of Roofing USA came out on September 13th & did a complete inspection of our 35 year old 'Flat' roof. He presented 2 options of roofing materials that we could select from & told us of each products strengths & weaknesses & also gave us the prices for each roof system. Ben also stated that there might be a couple of areas that may need some additional work, but that would have to be determined after they started the work. The areas in question were over the kitchen window & under the evaporative cooler. He said that they would discuss any additioal work to be done before they started it along with any additional costs. Ben gave us a computer generated quote of both systems, with warranties, before he left.
After discussing our choices we contacted Ben & told him that we would like to go forward with the 'Modified' roof system. We paid him one half of the total amout as his contract stated & as he presented at the time of the quotation. The work was schduled for September 20th @ 7:30.
The work team arrived on time& only stopped for lunch @ 11:30. Ben arrived about 8:30 & took me up on the roof to show the 2 areas that needed extra attention. They were the 2 areas that he mentioned before hand. Ben had the replacement parts with him & he informed me of the added cost should I decide to have them installed. (I suspect that his foreman called him & told him what to bring in case we wanted to have them installed.) Good team work & I felt no pressure to have them installed. The work team finished up about 5:00. I was invited to inspect their work before they left & I did. 'OUTSTANDING!'
The work team left the roof & our property very clean. Over all, the entire staff from owner to the installers were very professional from beginning to end

If you have a problem with your window, such as broken glass, minor leaks, or a problem with your window being stuck, repairing the broken part might be a cheaper option than replacing the entire window. However, if you have a deteriorating window frame or major leaks, buying a new window will be the better long-term solution.
Window replacement can become costly, especially if you’re replacing your whole home. There are a few steps you can take to help save money on the bottom cost while still giving your windows a facelift.
Replace multiple windows at once to bundle your purchase
Inquire about discounts, coupons, or special offers
Consider window repair as soon as you see damage to help prevent the need for replacement
Maintain your windows often by inspecting your windows for drafts, leaks, and cracks
There are certain window repairs that are cost-effective to DIY and relatively simple for homeowners to tackle themselves. Tasks like replacing a screen, replacing a lock, or sealing a window are typically under $30 and take minimal time to do yourself. However, if you need to replace your window or repair a broken double pane, it’s best to call in a professional window replacement installer to lend a hand. Replacing the majority or all of the windows in your home is a time consuming job and best left to a professional.
Window replacement costs between $180 and $410 per window, or an average of $280 per window. However, your specific replacement job could cost as little as $100 or as much as $750. Factors such as frame material, the number of windows you need, and the type of glass you order all impact the overall cost. For example, simple double-glazed windows will cost $3 to $6 per square foot, but the stronger tempered glass ranges from $12 to $14 per square foot.
The time it takes to replace a window is a total of four to 15 weeks. This time includes your initial consultation, appointments for measuring, as well as ordering and manufacturing your windows. For a smaller job, you can expect the total timeline to be on the shorter end, but for a whole house window replacement, it might take longer (or be split into multiple install appointments). Once your windows are created and ready to be installed, your window installer will take 30 to 60 minutes per window to install.
