"The quality of the build was excellent. The builder was always available to answer questions and proved any information needed. All materials used were high quality and specific to the plans of the home. Attention to details was excellent and oversight of sub contractors was always a priority. The finished home is exactly as we expected. Over all rating is 5 star."

Customers say: Quality work

"Jamie Posten (Concrete Magic Designs) was one of the last on my list for several call-arounds and a few in person estimates. After speaking with him I immediately knew he was the guy to go with. The first indicators were the price (compared to others), knowledge and experience (easily determined through conversation), the detailed discussion of the jobs at hand and his willingness to coordinate with my wants and desires. The first job was simply replacing my driveway and the second job was replacing my back patio, both within the same time period. We discussed the potential for delays due to rain. That actually did happen on one of his other jobs which pushed my start date out. But Jamie called my well in advance to give me notification and followed up a few more times to keep me posted and ensuring a conducive start date. So, â customer serviceâ â excellent, because who likes sitting around and not knowing whatâ s happening when? The crew that performed the work were true professionals. They were like a symphony orchestra working in unison as a fine tuned single mind. They operated the four wheeled CAT they used to bust up and remove the old concrete with amazing proficiency. And most impressively, yard damage was kept to minimum. So, absolutely yes, I would highly recommend the veteran owned Concrete Magic Designs business if you need concrete work. Jamie is a great guy, his crews are excellent, and youâ ll be very satisfied with the results."

"These guys were excellent. We had some siding that had broken off the house, probably due to a squirrel. They were able to complete the work the same day, the quote was very reasonable, perfect color match and the results were great. We'll be calling them again for more projects."

Patios questions, answered by experts

Creating a screen room is one of the most cost-effective ways to enclose a patio so you can still use it in the winter. Most screen rooms aren’t insulated, so you’ll need to wrap up warm or use patio heaters in winter. Also, be aware they might not hold up well if you live in a location where heavy snow is common.

The life span of your solarium will depend on the materials used and how much wear and tear the room experiences from the inside and from the outside due to weather. On average, you can expect your solarium to last anywhere from 10 years to 50 or more. In rare cases, such as with old estates, solariums can last over 100 years.

A prefab sunroom will last for between 10 and 20 years in most cases, although you could get up to 50 years out of a high-quality prefab sunroom. In addition to material quality, your prefab sunroom’s lifespan will depend on the foundation type and the climate in your area. Extreme weather and expansive soil can decrease the expected life.

Whether it's better to add a sunroom or a regular room to your home depends on your goals. If you need extra bedrooms, building rooms with four standard walls makes more sense than adding a sunroom. If you don't need extra sleeping areas but would like to expand the living space of your home, a sunroom makes sense.

Yes, adding a sunroom can increase your home's value, with a return on investment (ROI) ranging from 20% for a screen room to 50% for a three- or four-season room. The amount of value added depends on the design. Fully insulated, temperature-controlled four-season sunrooms add the most value as they can be included in the home's total living space. In contrast, simpler structures like Arizona rooms or solariums typically have a lower return as they don't count as legal living space. A high-quality sunroom can also be an attractive feature for potential buyers, especially those who enjoy gardening. The value may also be higher in warmer climates where this feature is more sought after. When deciding, consider both the potential resale value and the personal value you will get from using the room.
