"His team was very professional during the 3-4 days it took. A few days after they finished, I had a small leak at my clothes washer supply line. Carlos personally came up and found that it was unrelated to their work, and was simply a gasket that needed replacing, which he took care of at no charge.  Carlos is extremely polite, professional, and responsive and makes sure that all the details are taken care and that other contractors (if needed) are lined up. I will definitely continue to use his company.

"It went pretty well. Andrew responded quickly to my call and informed me to reschedule the appointment due to his emergency. Andrew and his assistant showed up on time and are very professional. They jet cleaned the drainage pipe in order to run the locator to find the sewer line exiting out of kitchen to the back yard. Their price is very reasonable, a lot lower than the other plumbing company that I got the quote for the same work. Highly recommend their service and will reuse them again.

"I was unsure what was causing my water leak, whether or not to replace the tub, and if it could be repaired.  The shower had not been used in a week, so the leak was hard to find.  Greg knew exactly what to do to find the leak.  He then showed me how the water was jumping around from the leak in the joints.  He gave me an estimate for both a repair and a replacement.  He told me that the silicone seal would fix the problem and that the tub was basically in good shape.  He explained the best thing to do for a replacement and gave me an estimate.  I went with the repair as I do not have the funds for a replacement at the moment.  So far t have had no additional problems and am happy with the solution.  There was some wait time invovled, but I was given a choice to wait with a $50.00 discount or to have it done right away.  I was happy to take the discount.  I was also given a discount for Angie's list, so was happy.

"He did an awesome job and corrected some of the problems I was having. My home is only 3 years old. He had to modify the p-traps, because they were done incorrectly. He put a cleaning chemical to clean out the pipes and smell without doing any damage to the pipes. He also flushed out the tank water heater in the attic and replaced some of the devices on the water heater. He did a real good job and was pretty quick."

Sewer Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Toilet paper is the only material that you should flush down toilets. Other items like wipes, paper towels, feminine hygiene products, dental floss, and medications should be disposed of in the trash. Flushing these items can lead to plumbing issues and damage to sewage systems. Grease and cooking oils should also be avoided as they can solidify in pipes, causing blockages. Proper disposal helps prevent clogs and ensures the efficient operation of wastewater treatment systems while protecting the environment.

Using less toilet paper is the easiest way to prevent future clogs. Also, avoid flushing sanitary products, thick paper towels, or hair down the toilet. If you’ve been using a brick in the tank to reduce the water used to flush the toilet, take it out immediately. Bricks will eventually fall apart and clog your toilet drain. Keeping your toilet lid closed also helps avoid future clogs.

Regardless of the drain cleaner type you choose to use, they all work through chemical reactions that create heat. Thanks to the heat, the clogged hair begins to dissolve until it is able to be flushed away. To avoid clogs in your drain due to hair, use hair catchers and empty them out after every shower.

Yes, many services include camera inspections to identify the cause of the blockage. Confirm with your provider.

The cost to unclog a drain varies based on the location and severity of the clog. For simple clogs within your home, such as in a sink, toilet, or shower, hiring a plumber typically costs between $110 and $350, with an average of around $200. Snaking a toilet or sink usually costs between $110 and $275, while a bathtub or shower clog costs about $225.

For a more serious clog in the main sewer line, the cost is higher. Clearing a main line clog generally costs between $200 and $600, with an average of about $380. However, prices can range from as low as $100 for snaking a minor clog to over $1,600, particularly if advanced methods like video inspection and hydrojetting are needed for a large or hard-to-reach blockage. Some severe main line clogs can cost upwards of $1,000 to clear depending on factors like the cause of the clog, its distance from an accessible cleanout, and whether the pipe is located beneath an occupied space (e.g., in an apartment building). You may be able to save money on minor clogs by using a drain snake or bladder yourself.
