Bidding process: Our estimator meets with you to go over the painting work you want done. At this point we answer any questions and address any concerns you have about the project. We then follow up with a comprehensive proposl laying out the painting specifications from start to finish, with an exact cost of work. Scheduling: One of the first things we ask about are your scheduling needs. We want to make sure we can accommodate your schedule. When a signed proposal is received, the job is put on our schedule. We tell you the approximate start date and then keep you updated as the project proceeds. Doing the work: All painting work in done in proper sequence and in accordance with paint manufactors specifications. Surface preparation i.e. pressure washing, scarping, sanding, etc. is done first. Then the priming followed by the finish painting. Completing the work: We will let you know a day or so before we expect to complete the work. This gives you an opportunity to inspect the work to ensure that nothing got missed. Paint wrap up the job and take care of any touch ups to your full satisfaction.

"Sean has performed services on the inside of our home and we were extremely impressed. We hired him and his team to paint the exterior of our home, including our privacy fence, our deck, and the foundation of the home to match the exterior house paint. Sean and his team did an OUTSTANDING job that will last for a very long time."

"It went so well and they did exactly what the contract said that they would do. Our contract was specific that left nothing to misunderstand about what I wanted done or they to do. They were working with 24 year old oak cabinets and were exact in matching corners & fronts of those old cabinets. It all looks so good. I worked with the owners daughter. The owner was very nice also. The carpenters were a pleasure to work with. They did their work and then the owner would call or text me to ask it there was anything that needed their attention. The payment process was excellent in that it was all done on Intuit and could come directly out of my checking account."

Drywall questions, answered by experts

The easiest way to cut holes in drywall for electrical boxes is to use a spiral saw with a drywall router bit. Hang the drywall without cutting out a hole for the box, but make sure you measure and mark where the box is located on the wall. Once you screw in the drywall sheet, drill a small hole into the box void, insert the spiral saw bit, and move it around the edge of the box using the inside wall as a guide. You can also use an oscillating multi-tool with an electrical box cutout for fast, professional results.

There are several things you should not do when installing drywall. Common mistakes include: adding too many screws, over-sanding, not adding backing support, and installing drywall unevenly. You also should avoid screwing into the same place twice, installing Sheetrock with tapered edges on the outside, and making too many joints.

Furring strips, thin strips of wood or metal, are not always required for ceiling drywall installation. If the ceiling surface is even and in good condition, drywall can be directly attached to the ceiling joists using screws. However, furring strips become essential when dealing with irregular surfaces or when additional insulation or soundproofing is needed. They create a level substrate for attaching the drywall. Ultimately, the decision to use furring strips depends on the condition of the existing ceiling and the specific requirements of the project.

Drywall tape is made of paper, while drywall mesh is made of fiberglass or metal. Drywall mesh patches are suitable for repairing small holes in drywall, while paper drywall tape holds a crease better for corners. You need joint compound to adhere drywall tape to the wall, while mesh patches may be self-adhesive.

Yes, it is possible to DIY install drywall, but it is a deceptively complicated process that can be quite frustrating if you don’t have experience. Prepare to cut and screw drywall, leave the proper gap distance for any seams, never leave the end of a piece of drywall hanging off of a stud, and cut out around electrical boxes and switches. Plus, getting the drywall to look good is challenging, especially when taping and spackling. That’s why it’s usually a better idea to hire a professional drywall installer to ensure high-quality results.
