We used Cordova concrete for our driveway and it looks amazing! They were very responsive, professional, and communicative! Would definitely recommend and use again.

Purchased a Larson Security/Storm door from Lowe's but the contractor there would not pour concrete beneath the storm door. We wanted concrete due to our front door being exposed to the elements to the side and having a high ceiling. Communication was very quick and professional, from...

We hired Honesty Foundation to level our house. The price we were given was $2,000, which we paid. They started working on the house leveling, but one of the workers noticed that 8 of the joists were crushed on the ends, so he said that the joist ends needed to be replaced. This work would...

We absolutely adored the sales person and all the good sales service but the quality of the carpet was terrible. We have been in our house now for 5 years and we are having to replace the carpet. Both the carpet pad and carpet were really poor quality for the price that was paid and what was...

I met with Matt at the store on 59 fwy near west univ, and I told him about the bad experience with a box store and he was very reassuring. The prior store had told me that I should not put down a tile floor as I have what is called "soft crete" or light weight concrete but I talked to Matt...

The crew showed up right on time. Ethan, the owner, even stayed through most of the process to make sure I was satisfied. If I wanted to change something on the spot, they were great about it. If you need concrete work done and you want to make sure its done right, I wouldn't hesitate to use...

We have not selected a contractor for leveling yet, but Bonilla is on the short list. Very professional.

I hired Frank and Trey Cameron to build a patio in my back yard. An original invoice detailing the work was submitted and agreed upon. Some of the work has been completed, although at less than a professional level. The yard was not leveled before pouring the concrete, and there are already...

"The plan on this job was to protect the pool from collecting debris with a plastic tarp. In the demolition process, the crew damaged several coping bricks. The framing, rebar, concrete pour and stamping went otherwise OK. They were late removing the tarp due to needing to work on the brick, and it later rained, covering the tarp with water. Joe offered to cover the coping brick damage, sending a guy at the end of other jobs to chip the broken bricks out over the course of the coming week. He damaged a finish tile. Also, the number of “damaged” bricks seemed to increase as we went along. We were not able to remove the tarp when anticipated due to the additional coping demo, and it stayed on over the rains leading up to the 4th of July weekend. Joe's original plan was to clear any water from the surface of the tarp with a submersible pump, removing the debris along with the tarp. This did not work due to the amount of water that had collected. He cut the tarp to remove it, with the debris falling in the pool. After a few days of brick chipping, I started asking for a new schedule. Joe told me to call the office. I asked this question repeatedly, sharing my frustration with the way the job was going. She eventually told me to talk to Joe when he arrived with the crew on July 9. When he appeared on the 9th, he went back to check on his guy and quickly went back to his truck. I flagged him down to give him a spare finish tile and ask my scheduling question. He drove away while I was talking, indicating that he had to get to another job. I waited for a while, then called the office to complain about being disrespected and still not having a schedule. I was angry on this call, but did not yell or use profanity. Joe returned to my home later that morning. I opened the door when I saw him. He came at me with balled up fists calling me names and threatening to beat me. He felt I had been inappropriate with the “seventy year old woman” who answers the phone at the office. He threatened to beat me again, called me some more names, and walked of the job. I have a recording of most of this interaction from my Ring doorbell camera. This was an $8000.00 job. I have paid everything save $650.00 that was due at the end. I will likely incur expenses that exceed this amount in having the work completed, if I can get a contractor to finish the job. Additionally, my pool service company indicates that they will charge $1500 to clean the construction debris and another $1500 to restart the pool. There will be additional expense in replacing the water to be drained in the cleaning process. So if you don't mind a contractor that bullies his way out of a job with threats of physical violence when things go south, Houston Solid Concrete is for you. Otherwise, steer clear. They only get 1 start because 0 is not an option."

"Horrible! I wish I could give this NO STARS! Naji the head contractor basically left the employees that did not speak any English, did not inspect the work and took no accountability for the actions. The workers tripped a circuit that controlled the outside plugs and garage outlets, which caused my freezer in the garage to go out. No one alerted me instead used the neighbors outside plug to continue their work. This was not discovered until I went to prepare for a catering contracted event. I own a small catering business and everything in my freezer spoiled because no one alerted me of the tripped plug. I checked on them and no one made any reference to an issue. I discovered this when I went to prepare for an event. The work was also poorly done. I have videos as well as the neighbors testimony. I lost a client and paid more for breech of contract and the poorly done work. I was offered $150 for my trouble. I lost over 9000 including the amount paid for this poorly done work. Not to mention my business reputation. Do not recommend for anyone. Find another company."

"When we purchased our home in 2017, there was already a crack across the top 2 segments of the driveway where that area had sunk quite a bit. Besides the cosmetic issue, we felt this subsidence was also a tripping hazard. After researching online and using Angi, I found GROUNDWORKS (formerly FSS: Foundation Support Specialists) who came out to give an estimate. Ricardo showed up on time with advanced warning of his ETA. He was thorough and left me with a color-coded bid. Some of the driveway and sidewalk leading to the front door were going to be lifted, and some parts stabilized using the foam injection method. Even though I received bids from 2 other companies, I chose GROUNDWORKS for their 5-year warranty and mid-level pricing. All companies were 4.5 stars or higher on both Google and Angi. On the job day, they arrived on time. The job was completed in about 2 hours. I am very happy with the results."

FAQs for concrete leveling projects in Barker, TX
Mudjacking can be an expensive foundation repair process, but in many cases, it’s well worth the investment. This is especially true if you’re lifting a portion of sunken foundation slab back into place. In that case, mudjacking can help avoid major structural damage and even home collapse by restoring the integrity of your structure with minimally invasive procedures. Mudjacking a concrete patio, walkway, or sidewalk can be worthwhile because it removes tripping hazards and makes your outdoor area more aesthetically appealing.
The average cost of mudjacking is around $5 per square foot of concrete, with most concrete leveling jobs totaling between $3 and $8 per square foot. The typical cost to fix a sinking portion of concrete slab with mudjacking is around $1,100. The price you’ll pay depends on the size of the concrete slab you need to be leveled, the accessibility of the slab, and the type of material your contractor uses beneath the concrete to lift it back into place.
In most cases, no, mudjacking is not possible as a DIY job. Not only do you need specialized equipment to cut into your slab and pump the cementitious material underneath it, but it’s also a challenging process, and the consequences of making mistakes include additional structural damage to your home. It’s possible to rent mudjacking equipment to attempt a DIY repair, but the risk of added property damage usually isn’t worth the money you’ll save on labor, especially if the concrete you’re lifting is a part of your home’s foundation.
