"The replacement went fine. The work was professional and at the agreed time. I was pleased with that. My only issue was with the charges. I had found the mechanism online priced at $108 (with $13 shipping). It would have arrived after my desired time frame, so I expected the locksmith would have a local resource from which to purchase at a wholesale price in a more timely manner. I expected that price to be about $60; certainly less than $100. However, I was told the locksmith paid $179! This didn't seem reasonable. Also, I did not receive an itemized receipt, only a total. After expecting to pay perhaps $150, I was actually charged almost TWICE that. So although I was happy with the work, I was certainly not happy with the price."

Got through in a couple of rings and a locksmith was out on site within 20min and was done within an hour after I called.  These days I almost expect bad service, but these guys were fantastic! "Choice responded quickly but the insurance plan does not pay for all doors to be re-keyed unless you have very few locks. The number of locks covered by the insurance is determined by keyholes, not doors! (Read your policy!) You will likely have to shell out some money to have this essential new-home service if you have more than four keyholes. The locksmith they called was EXCELLENT and made all our locks completely functional. We will happily hire the locksmith again (R.L Locksmith LLC). We paid $201.81 (plus another $50 for some door re-alignment not included in the re-keying benefit) and Choice paid $100 for the job."
