That is more difficult work, as each panel has to be constructed from several planks. Moreover, the clear finish would leave any flaws more visible. This is a very rural area of Texas with long distances from their base to our house, they traveled many miles early in the morning and worked many days in 100 degree heat. As with any construction project there were surprises and delays for things, a normal occurrence whenever you are dealing with sealed areas and you open them up there will be things you do not want to see.
Chris and Matthew really showed their character when dealing with our railings, a combination of metal and wood construction. It took a few extra days and I'm sure many extra hours in their workshop putting them together to where they were sturdy enough to hold up to the long distances they had to traverse.
