Customers say: True professional

"The crew was outstanding. Would definitely use them again and plan to. Work was done on time, and as estimated. The workers were neat and treated my property as any owner would have liked. The concrete work was done professionally and the rebar was lifted properly with chairs. I unconditionally recommend Carlos and his crew for concrete work."

"The job went very well.  They took their time, came in and checked to see if things were indeed level at different times.  I was very pleased with their work.  The rains this year had done a number under my house.  Mr. Wise and his crew added a beam where there had never been one, and it was definitely needed.  My house had an obvious dip in it that is now gone.  And put another beam where the crew I'd used years ago had used untreated wood as a temporary fix until they could get out of the yard.  I'd been given an estimate by another company that was almost three times what Mr. Wise bid for the job.  And it did not include the beam under the front of the house.  Mr. Wise and his crew have a great reputation and they've earned it.  I will definitely use them again.

"The basement king was a pleasure to work with. His knowledge is unmatched in the Texas area for sure. I received multiple quotes and talked to multiple companies and he was the best. He's passionate about his work and the manner in which it's done. If he says something, it happens. An added benefit was their cleanliness. Usually a job site of this size and complexity is a mess, but not with the basement kings. 10/10!"

Concrete Resurfacing FAQs, answered by experts

Like all concrete, pervious concrete is susceptible to cracking due to expansion and contraction from freezing and thawing or heavy weight. Pervious concrete, however, is less likely to crack due to moisture intrusion than traditional concrete since pervious concrete is designed to drain and hold water in the material’s voids.

Yes, professionals can customize concrete surfaces with a variety of decorative options. Common choices include stamping, staining, polished concrete, and exposed aggregate to enhance the aesthetic appeal.

Minor hairline cracks in your concrete may not look pretty, but they’re often not serious. It’s when concrete cracks are larger—wide enough that you can slide a credit card into it—that you need to worry. If you monitor a crack and can trace its active expansion over time, you’ll definitely want to call in a pro to inspect it and, potentially, repair it. Want to prevent cracks in your garage and driveway concrete in the future? Stay on top of sealing. Here’s how to seal your concrete garage floor and driveway.

Common issues include cracks, settling, and loose stones. Regular maintenance prevents significant damage.

You can dry pour concrete over existing concrete, but it’s best to use wet pour concrete instead. Dry pour concrete is easier to apply, but in order for new concrete to adhere to old concrete, it needs the right mixture for slow, uniform curing. Additionally, dry pour concrete is less durable and less resistant to cracking and concrete sinking, so dry pouring over an existing slab may result in surface imperfections appearing prematurely.
