"It's spring! So it must be time for Magic Touch to bring my yard back to life! Once again they did a wonderful job trimming back the hedges and ferns, putting down mulch, and tackling the HORRIBLE weed problem I was having. These folks are super professional and their work is fabulous. Highly recommend!!!"

"They came a day early, which was great. They had time at the end of a day to start, and finished the following day. My yard looked far better after they left. My grass is finally growing because of the sun light getting to it, and my trees are thriving. The crew were very skilled. I could not believe how careful they were when lowering huge branches to the ground.

"They did a great job removing the underbrush and small trees, stump grinding, removing the debris from the site, and tree trimming on several large trees. I am certain they provided a level of service above other companies. Kenneth provides sound advice and is more knowledgeable that the other folks who provided quotes on this job. I will use Langley Lawn again in the future.

"Quick, easy, let me know all the way through the process how everything was going to play out. Guys were in and out with very little fuss. I hired them again for a second job a week later to cut down some more trees. Highly recommended service. Eric very easy to get a hold of."

Weed Services questions, answered by experts

Landscape fabric and a few inches of gravel should be enough to put under a deck to prevent weeds from flourishing. If you don’t want to invest the time and money on a project like this, you can regularly spray the area underneath your deck to kill weeds.

The best time to fight crabgrass with pre-emergent herbicide is when forsythias tend to bloom. In the mid-Atlantic region, this is usually between April and May. Even if you're late to apply the herbicide, it’s effective as long as the crabgrass plant has fewer than five leaves.

Choosing fertilizers: slow-release for steady nutrients, organic for eco-friendliness, or specific blends for soil deficiencies or grass types.

Mowing a lawn will, unfortunately, not get rid of clover, and it may even encourage it to flourish. Let your lawn grow to a healthy height of over 3 inches and then set your mower blades no lower than this level. Higher grass will cut out the light that clover loves and discourage it from spreading.

The hydroseed mix—known as a slurry—helps grass seed take root in many ways. Water combines with the mulch, allowing the grass seed to stay moist while grounded in the soil. The extra fertilizer then provides the boost the seed needs to flourish. In just a few weeks, you'll be ready to break out the lawnmower again.
