Classic Copper Works uses time honored German copper smith techniques handed down from father to son and passed on to our highly skilled artisans. We specialize in the fabrication of custom copper & bronze products and other metal specialties. WE DO NOT OFFER REPAIR SERVICES OF ANY KIND. Additional phone number - (888) 908-5339.

"Ordered and paid for custom awning that was to take 5 weeks. Its now been 16 weeks and still waiting. Owner is at best noncommunicable and at worst, rude. I'm now wondering if this is a scam and not a real business."

"Giving one star because zero isn’t an option. Barrett came out and replaced 2 shingles and said and I quote I re-nailed down the loose ones. This was 5 days ago. Yesterday more flew off. Called and asked and was told in order for him to come back out to my house there was going to be an additional charge because those weren’t the two shingles that he replaced. Even though he said he re-nailed down the ones that were loose. Literally did not last five days see pictures."

Chimney Caps questions, answered by experts

When hiring a roofing professional in Amarillo, prioritize contractors with proven experience handling local hail and wind damage. Ask about their knowledge of Amarillo’s building codes and permit requirements. Request references from recent roof replacement or roof repair projects in the area. Make sure they carry proper insurance, offer strong warranties, and use materials rated for severe weather. Avoid transient contractors unfamiliar with Amarillo’s climate.

Helpful?

In Amarillo, roofing maintenance should address the city’s frequent hail, high winds, and intense sun. Schedule roof inspections twice a year, especially after severe weather, to catch issues like cracked shingles or damaged flashing. Clean gutters to prevent water backup, and check for granule loss from asphalt shingles. Because Amarillo’s dust storms are common, ensure attic ventilation is clear and look for signs of wind-driven debris damage.

Helpful?

Completing a roofing project in Amarillo can noticeably increase your home’s value and attract buyers seeking durable, weather-resistant homes. Installing impact-resistant shingles or energy-efficient roofing materials is especially appealing in Amarillo’s storm-prone climate. A documented roof replacement or recent roof inspection reassures buyers about long-term protection. Enhanced curb appeal and potential insurance savings also make a new roof a strong selling point in Amarillo.

Helpful?

In Amarillo, hidden roofing costs often arise when contractors uncover storm or water damage beneath existing shingles, requiring extra roof repair or decking replacement. Emergency tarping during sudden weather changes, upgrades to impact-resistant materials, or addressing code compliance issues can also add to the project scope. After major storms, increased demand may lead to higher disposal fees or material shortages, so it’s wise to budget for these potential surprises.

Helpful?

In Amarillo, most residential roofing projects, such as roof replacement or major repairs, are typically completed within two to five days, depending on the roof’s size and weather conditions. Minor roof repairs may finish in a single day, while larger or complex projects can take up to a week. Spring storms and material delays in Amarillo can sometimes extend the timeline, so plan for possible weather interruptions.
