"This Pro was asked to build a driveway on a piece of bare land we purchased! Needless to say it was EXCELLENT work. Branden is reliable. He shows us on time and gets the job done. His attention to detail is evident. Branden constructed my driveway as it was his own. I will be hiring Branden again for future projects. Thank you for a job well done!"

"They have previously replaced one of the pieces of wood that broke off the gate and they have worked on the gate when it would not open (determined there was a defect due to the cold) and replaced the defective part.  We have always been happy with their work. I think it is a fairly small company so sometimes they can't get out same day but they have kept us informed of their status.  We would definitely use them again!

"Chance and Lisa are great to work with. They kept me informed at every step and made sure to verify what I wanted if there were questions before proceeding on the project. They built a nice, secure deck and repaired my house. I would hire them again for my home repair projects."

"Great company to go with for any type of yard work! They mowed and cleaned up my yard along with scraping and clearing out my flower beds so I could replant flowers this spring. On top of that, they redid my driveway with caliche to expand my gravel drive. We Will definitely be using them to redo our fences in a few weeks! Very down to earth company to chose to work with. Their prices are very fair and the guys that work are very humble and professional."

Asphalt Driveways questions, answered by experts

This creates a risk for your driveway to fail after asphalt curing because it doesn't have a lasting bond with the surface. In order to get asphalt to perform as intended, it's necessary to prepare the dirt surface correctly first. The loose soil base under the new driveway must be compacted until it is stable enough to support the weight of the asphalt.

Building a road on a slope requires careful planning and will normally require a drainage system underneath to prevent flooding and damage to the road over time. Your professional may lengthen your road to create switchbacks if the slope directly to your home is too steep, as there are regulations for maximum road slope. The drainage system will help prevent runoff from the higher side of the slope from damaging the asphalt or concrete. Keep in mind that building a road on a slope isn’t a good DIY project, as a lot can go wrong.

Yes, using recycled asphalt millings is an eco-friendly alternative compared to concrete. Millings are reclaimed pieces of gravel that are recycled into aggregate that can be used on driveways, patios, walkways, basketball courts, tennis courts, and more.

If you notice minor cosmetic problems with your driveway, you should seal it. Look out for cracks and holes on the surface, faded asphalt or concrete, and stains from oil and other chemicals. Replacing your driveway may be necessary if you’re dealing with significant problems—¼-inch cracks, large potholes, and puddles from drainage issues. The cost to install an asphalt driveway typically ranges between $4,200 and $9,000, significantly more than resealing. Consider talking to a professional to discuss whether resurfacing your driveway—a midway project between resealing and replacing—is a better option for you.

If your driveway is cracked, you can repave it with a process called asphalt overlay. Overlay is more cost-effective than a full replacement but is better suited for minor cracks and issues. If you have major cracks or other problems like water pooling, asphalt overlay isn’t your best bet. Plus, paving over a cracked driveway only extends the lifetime by about 10 years, whereas replacing it would start the clock over completely to give you up to 30 years.
