"Repair team was very professional and it was clear they knew what they were doing. I asked the team leader how he knew when to stop injecting the poly substance under the walkway and his answer was a simple "experience" and "patience" He proved that when all the sunken concrete rose to exactly the right height! You cannot go wrong with this company. Costs are a little high, I think, and it would cost somewhat less to replace the concrete, but it probably wouldn't match the existing slabs."

"Mr. Ed Wise at E-Tex Foundation Repair in Gladewater, Tx (903-331-3278) said the procedure would take a total of three days, told me everything that needed to be done, and kept in touch. He called the day before to tell me they were coming out the next morning. He and the crew were very friendly, and worked quickly, efficiently, and professionally. After digging out four pier holes, they laid cement and left it to dry through the next day. He called the next day and let me know when they were coming out on the third morning. They arrived on time and jacked the slab to re-level and shimmed with solid concrete blocks and plate steel shims. Ground areas that had been lost were filled in with dirt and well-packed, and concrete pieces and dirt stabilized my driveway. Everything was cleaned up from the work area, and I was extremely happy with the results. I would recommend this company of very friendly, very competent people to everyone I know. With the work guaranteed (with a transferable warranty) for 30 years, I have nothing but the best to say about the people and the services rendered. Excellent communication from Mr. Wise beginning with my first email to the company for a bid through the completion of the job! "

It's important to begin any enterprise with a firm foundation and no one knows better than Abry Brothers. Abry, a skilled shorer, arrived in New Orleans from Frank- furt, Germany. Realizing he had a niche in the construction market due to the unstable delta soil which is characteristic of the area, Abry purchased a lot at 816-18 North Johnson St. and set up shop. He ran the business alone until the 1860's when he was joined by his son Emile. Emile's three sons came into the business near the turn of the century and operated under the name "Emile Abry &Sons." His sons would later change the name to Abry Brothers. Six generations later, Abry Brothers continues to be a stabilizing force in the building industry, handling all sizes and types of jobs. It’s best not to perform mudjacking in the winter unless the ground temperature remains above freezing. Freezing temperatures can cause the slurry to harden too quickly, compromising its strength and longevity. Concrete is also more susceptible to cracking and splitting in cold temperatures, so there’s a higher risk of damaging the slab during the drilling and lifting process in winter.
Mudjacking can be an expensive foundation repair process, but in many cases, it’s well worth the investment. This is especially true if you’re lifting a portion of sunken foundation slab back into place. In that case, mudjacking can help avoid major structural damage and even home collapse by restoring the integrity of your structure with minimally invasive procedures. Mudjacking a concrete patio, walkway, or sidewalk can be worthwhile because it removes tripping hazards and makes your outdoor area more aesthetically appealing.
Most projects take 1-3 hours, with immediate usability after completion.
Concrete leveling can last anywhere from five to 10 years or more, and in some cases, it can be a permanent solution. The longevity depends on the method used and whether the underlying cause of the sinking is addressed. For example, mudjacking typically lasts five to 10 years, while polyjacking can last for 20 years or more. It's best to consult a professional for an accurate timeline based on your specific situation and any factors that could cause the issue to recur.
The timeframe is generally a few hours, allowing for immediate use post-hydration, ensuring minimal disruption to surrounding activities.
