The crew was never not busy. We contracted for them to do the cleanup and they did it on an ongoing basis as the work progressed. Ken also contracted with a local lumber company to purchase the downed tree and my neighbor received a $700 check from them for the lumber. They were done with both properties in the estimated six hours and moved on to do another job. I am well pleased with the cost and service and will not hesitate to contact Ken's again should the need arrive. When he looked over the area and made recommendations about the type of material to be used, and explained what the completed project would entail I was sure this was the company to do the job. We had a one day delay on the actual roof work, but the supplies were delivered, placed where I requested not to block access, etc. Work was begun first thing in the morning once the team lead presented me with the permit and information. We checked the product to make sure it was correct and the two crews began working. They tarped the whole house and grounds after removing anything that might be damaged, such as landscaping lighting. Then the work began and I was amazed at how quickly they removed the old roof and started applying the new. They showed me the wood they needed to replace due to water damage as they said they would. The job was completed in one day, even though they needed additional material to finish some trim areas - these were brought and the job was complete. The cleanup was great at the end of the day, removing all nails and garbage. Like they had never been here, except for a wonderful new roof. I would recommend them to anyone."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/nj/east-brunswick/saenz-contractors-inc-reviews-6188198.htm"},"position":7},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"Elite Solutions","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"TN","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Gina R."},"reviewBody":"Steve was to either do the remodel himself or when he was unable to complete, he would sub-contract with other companies to complete a portion of the remodel. He removed the old floor and laid new tile floor doing a really excellent job. He removed the old jacuzzi tub; sub-contracted with a local plumbing company to install the new tub and required plumbing for new shower; removed the old double sinks and wooden cabinets, and installed new individual sinks/cabinets we purchased. He was to have installed new medicine cabinets we purchased, AFTER removing the old ones, but NEVER started that or completed. He was to have repainted the entire bathroom, along with finishing out the wall that was behind the cabinet/sinks - they would have to be caulked, filled in and finished to accommodate the new medicine cabinets and paint job. He was to finish the wall separating the bathtub from the (double headed) shower stall, install the floor for the stall, TILE the shower stall to match the tile on the floor (we purchased the tile for the shower stall and as you can see from pictures, the shower has NOT been completed - the tiles are sitting in the stall for use in that project). Steve experienced trouble with the sub-contractor he wanted to handle the tiling of the shower stall and in fact wound up firing him. He continued to have difficulty in locating a good "tile man" to work on the shower stall and this is when we started having difficulties in getting him to return our phone calls. As it turned out, my husband located an excellent "tile man" in Somerville and Steve met with him to 'determine if he knows what he's doing and can be trusted to do a good job'. The tile man was fully capable of handling the work required but by now it appeared to us that Steve had misjudged just how much this project was going to cost and had (probably) run out of money and simply couldn't afford to pay the tile man, yet was unable to complete the tile work himself. Even with us buying all of the plumbing fixtures, hardware and tiles, we were into the Third Portion of the project -- and had completed payment for this entire project at this time -- Steve had apparently run out of money and did NOT contact the tile guy to let him know when to come out and start tiling our shower stall. Upon completion of that portion, he was then to have contacted the plumbing company to complete plumbing the shower stall (with fixtures and hardware we had previously purchased), then finished the wall next to tub as well as the other walls in the bathroom; then hang the medicine (2) cabinets we had purchased. We were going to have another contractor handle the light fixtures (we had also purchased) over the medicine cabinets. But Steve not only did NOT contact, nor contract with the tile man to complete the shower stall, he took longer and longer to even ANSWER my husband's telephone calls! He'd speak with my husband and say he would call him back as soon as he finished some personal business; one time it was his son's health issues requiring a visit to the doctor, another time it was his nephew's health issues requiring his presence and support at the hospital, one time it was problems with one or more horses he and his family ride, he even went on vacation with his family leaving our bathroom incomplete and useless except for the toilet and sinks! As you can see, the delays became somewhat complicated depending on if Steve even bothered to answer my husband's calls. He eventually stopped returning the calls at all and in fact has not spoken with my husband now for almost 10 months and of course has not returned ANY PORTION of the Third Installment (Final Payment) for completed work. He just took the money and walked off without ANY further contact or attempt to complete the remodel on our bathroom!"},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/tn/somerville/elite-solutions-reviews-6273620.htm"},"position":8},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"Chickasaw Air Conditioning Inc","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"TN","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Sherri W."},"reviewBody":"Alan gave very professional advice from the beginning, working within spending limits to get the best system possible. Got several other quotes as well; felt most confident in doing business with Chickasaw. Alan had experience with the unusual wood furnace I needed to remove, which used the same duct work as the main electric furnace. I appreciated that he came out himself to evaluate my system, rather than sending a salesman without hands-on experience. The crew of Jack, Andy and Chris were great to work with, always prompt, and answered any questions that came up in the process. They had to take the wood furnace out of the loop, and convert the electric service to natural gas, as well as install the new a/c which used a different refrigerant than the former. They put in an additional supply vent. I had my preference of either heat or air up and running before they left overnight, in the midst of the transition, and the air coming from all the vents was balanced. Care was taken to protect my floors inside, and all of the old debris was removed and the area cleaned up before they finished. I was entirely comfortable with everyone I dealt with at this company. I opted to use the existing concrete pad, which gave me a credit on my bill. I later wished I had let them pour a new pad. (My fault) I would highly recommend this company to anyone interested in a first class, code compliant job!"},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/tn/memphis/chickasaw-air-conditioning-inc-reviews-310138.htm"},"position":9}]}

Wallpaper Removal questions, answered by experts
Prime and repaint walls after removal to ensure a clean, finished surface.
No, you don’t always have to remove old wallpaper before applying a new layer. However, you should pull off the existing wallpaper if it’s cracked, peeling, or in poor condition. We’d also recommend against putting wallpaper over textured or dark-colored wallpaper because the old layer may be visible through the new one. In addition, if you try to hang new wallpaper over vinyl-coated wallpaper, the adhesive might not stick properly.
Costs depend on wallpaper type, wall condition, labor, and necessary repairs.
Yes, you can pay someone to strip wallpaper. Before you hang new wallpaper, you should hire a local wallpaper removal service to prep the surface properly. Wallpaper removal pros cost $0.55 to $1.50 per square foot or $500 to $700 per room. Prices vary by room size and removal technique, as some options are more labor-intensive.
To remove pre-pasted wallpaper, you’ll need to wet the wallpaper or steam it to loosen the paste on the back of the wallpaper. Spray the paper with water, then let it soak for 10 to 20 minutes. From there, you should be able to peel off the wallpaper. Then, you may need to follow up with a cleaning solution and a scraper to remove any remaining wallpaper paste on the walls.
