"We were awoken to the sounds of banging coming from our A/C unit followed by an awful stench flowing through the house. A search outside with flashlights in hand revealed two skunks who decided to mate in our condenser. We called Critter Control and they were out later that morning. The trapper indicated animals had taken up residence in our crawl space, determined the likely point of entry, and set up traps accordingly. She was knowledgeable and professional; checking the traps regularly and communicating with my wife. She offered some remediation options, but it was not a pushy upsell. I would definitely recommend them to others.

"April 2021 we had Michael Wells and team do extensive Animal Removal. They did a fantastic job. Recently we have seen the return of the rats and the very day I reached out to Mike, he was at the house. That was three weeks ago and one of his teamme has been by daily to check traps. Justin, Isaiah, Kevin and Mike are all so polite, professional, and have done another fantastic job! "Tyler and Hunter are two delightful brothers who are very effective in their work. I got better results from them in two days than I did in a year with the first company I tried. Their cost is extremely reasonable and they repaired the damage the moles left in my yard when they finished their work. I highly recommend Ogden Wildlife Control at 931-682-6062 located in Tennessee . Please do not confuse them with Ogden Wildlife Control, UT."

"They did a great job. They solved all the problems I had with the chimney and it’s been working perfectly ever since. They also fixed a problem on the roof around the chimney; they replaced the wood around the chimney with a material that would never rot, so they fixed it even better than it was before. It took them a couple of days to do the work. They took care of all the cleanup as well. We've been real happy with them."

Bird Control questions, answered by experts

To keep animals out, you must prevent them from entering. As long as they can get in, the problem will persist. That said, consider making your attic less inviting using deterrents like motion-activated lights or ultrasonic devices. Additionally, keeping a well-maintained, clean, and uncluttered attic that you regularly inspect for activity may make the space less attractive to critters.

Yes, it’s possible for bats in your attic to find a way into your living spaces. Until you can properly remove the bats, the best course of action is to keep the attic doors closed and any holes sealed. Evidence suggests bats follow the airflow in your home, so they may try escaping from the attic to other parts of the house.

Numerous predators kill hornets, including frogs, birds, lizards, bats, spiders, and hedgehogs. Some larger predators, including rats, skunks, and racoons, will occasionally attack a hornet nest in order to eat the larvae inside. These natural predators typically don’t eat enough hornets to make them an effective form of hornet control.

If a wild animal enters your yard, prioritize safety for yourself and the animal. Remember to avoid direct contact and always keep a safe distance. Contact local authorities or a wildlife rehabilitation center if the animal is hurt or in distress. Both sources should be able to guide you on how to proceed and send help if needed. Please wait for the animal to leave naturally for non-threatening situations, as many will. To deter future visits, implement measures like securing trash cans, sealing entry points, and removing potential food sources.

Hawk attacks on pets are rare, and they won’t target animals that outweigh them. Hawks typically weigh between one and three pounds. That means you don’t need to worry if you have a Labrador Retriever or French Bulldog. However, small cats and toy breed dogs, like Chihuahuas, are at risk. Pet attacks are more likely in winter when food is scarce or in the early summer when inexperienced young hawks are honing their hunting skills.
