"Seth and his crew were very professional and went above and beyond for a job very well done. They showed up on time every day, even working in some very unpleasant weather. The job was a deck expansion/rebuild and they completed it in 3 days. It looks incredible and I couldnt be happier with the results. I would highly recommend them and i will be usung them for future projects. Thank you Manibilt you guys are awesome!"

"I submitted a request for service over the weekend. Thad called me Monday morning and asked if he could come by to take a look at what repairs were needed. He was at my door ten minutes later. He assessed what was needed, gave me a price and completed the repairs within an hour. He gave me a two year warranty on the work and his personal cell phone number."

"Just to he clear, the repair was to a metal roof for a residence (The was no option for that). The representative came out and did an on-site inspection and provided a very reasonable quote. While the work was being done, another small problem was (literally) uncovered. They discussed this with me and I decided that the additional work was definitely needed and approved the additional work. The related charge for this work was (again) very reasonable and was completed to my satisfaction. Overall, the process went very smoothly and quickly. I was complexly satisfied with the result."

Deck Repair questions, answered by experts

Deck skirting shouldn’t touch the ground, especially if you have a wood deck, which is vulnerable to moisture. Ideally, you should leave at least 3/4 of an inch of space between the deck skirting and the ground for more ventilation. Pros also recommend that you incorporate about 1 square foot of space for ventilation for the underside of the deck to every 150 square feet of decking. Proper ventilation prevents mold growth and rot that can damage your deck.

To maximize the utility of space under a deck, it’s important to keep this area dry and clean. One way to prevent the area from becoming too wet is to install an under-deck draining system. This affordable home upgrade channels water away from the deck and provides usable space for storage or a functional area below a second-story deck. Not only will this be a useful maintenance upgrade, it can boost your home’s property value.

How long it takes to install composite decking depends on the size of the decking material, the skills of the person installing the deck, the number of people helping, and how much prep work needs to be done before you can begin. Generally speaking, it takes anywhere from a few days to several weeks to build a composite deck.

You can add a roof to most decks, but you need to have it inspected first. If your deck didn’t come with a roof initially, it may not be able to handle the weight without some structural changes. You can add additional supports to your existing deck to safely add a roof, and tying your deck’s roof to an exterior wall can help add some structural stability, but remember these aren’t DIY projects and need to be left to a pro.

A sunroom will add more value to your home than a deck, but with a much higher up-front cost. Depending on its construction and function, a sunroom may be counted as additional living space, while a deck is strictly an outdoor feature. Both will increase your home’s value, but the sunroom will have a much bigger effect.
