"..Doug Ashe is the super hero of animal control and removal.  Dont even bother looking at the ads of other wildlife removal vendors.  Doug Ashe does it all.  He stands behind his work.  Evidenced by the vent covering repair he made for us today. Other service providers can only wish they were like Doug Ashe and CWC.  Doug has set the bar high!!

"They never contacted me to see how I liked my service or how the results turned out after the 9 day promise. After 9 days my yard looked somewhat better, but still had a lot of weeds, especially in the backyard. I have only received one treatment that cost $10 more than most companies charge, but I haven't heard a word from them since I paid them. Nor were any instructions left on how to improve my yard in between sprayings as I have received in the past from other lawn care companies. I have not received any follow up calls since the initial spray. Not sure I'd recommend them to anyone."

Pest Control FAQs, answered by experts

While cats are great at rodent control, it is their second nature to use the soft dirt of your garden as a litter box. This can lead to the contamination of your food and the spread of disease in humans.

You can use commercial repellents to help deter rodents, but they often have mixed results. A better solution is preventing rodents from getting under your home in the first place. Using steel wool or foam sealer, plug all potential entry points like gaps and cracks in the foundation.

Also, consider installing hardware cloth or wire mesh over vents, utility openings, and any openings under the porch or foundation. Regular inspections and maintenance will aid in early detection and prevention, ensuring a rodent-free environment beneath your house.

If you’ve ruled out small cockroaches, some other bugs you might mistake for bed bugs are carpet beetles, bat bugs, and booklice. However, they’re usually found in different parts of the home. Carpet beetles are found in fabrics and carpets, bat bugs live in attics, and booklice dwell around books and damp areas.

Gnats may eventually go away on their own, but it depends on the source of their attraction. If the environment that’s attracting them—such as overwatered plants, moist areas, or food debris—isn't addressed, they can persist or even increase in numbers. Reducing moisture, improving drainage, and cleaning up organic matter can help eliminate them. Without these changes, gnats are likely to stick around and continue breeding, making it important to remove their breeding grounds to get rid of them for good.

The best hornet repellent includes a variety of essential oils such as peppermint, clove, geranium, and lemongrass, all of which have a pungent smell that hornets can’t stand.
