"We had a pest problem (mice) in our attic and crawlspace. As a result, we needed to not only remove the pests and close up entry / access points but also to remove and replace the 30+ year old insulation in our attic. We had read many positive reviews as well as received personal referrals from friends for the team at Complete Animal Removal / Complete Insulation and we were not disappointed. Many thanks to Michael for meeting with us for the initial inspection, answering questions, and guiding us through the process. The Teams from Complete Animal Removal / Complete Insulation Inc. did a fantastic job. They were very thorough and professional. The team at Complete Animal Removal worked through the pest removal process and closed up all entry and access points to prevent future issues. This process took several weeks and included sealing up all access points in our attic, crawlspace, etc. Once we had the pest issue under control, the team at Complete Insulation removed all of our fiberglass insulation in our attic and installed new closed-cell spray foam insulation. The spray-foam insulation install process went very smoothly. Carpenter ants don’t eat wood. It’s a common misconception because many kinds of termites eat wood as well as live inside it. Carpenter ants, however, are omnivores and only chew into wood to create pathways and nests, discarding the chewed wood as frass which is a major indicator of a carpenter ant problem. They prefer to eat smaller insects, sweet things like spilled honey, and sources of protein like pet food.
Gel bait and gel bait traps use poison to kill cockroaches, and aren’t safe to use around pets. Many gel bait traps are called “child-resistant,” but this only means that the traps are hard to rip open for children. Large pets and children are still able to swallow them. If you use gel bait, use it in areas where pets and children can’t access them, such as under a washing machine. Another option is to use glue traps, which don’t contain pesticides and are safe to use around pets.
